It's different in BBS than the one he has in KH1 and 2.
Someone said it was because hes still an apprentice
well apprentice of who? (It'd be a #!*$ed up twist if MICKEY was the real MX apprentice and the spider-man lookin dude was something completely different but i doubt it)

and is BBS before he becomes king?

It's possible in BBS Mickey wasn't King yet. But he was the apprentice of Ansem The Wise at this time. I think he gets the Star Seeker for that :/ I dunno.

Mickey can't be the apprentice. He was seen during the battle with The knights and Xehanort and his apprentice. Mickey can't be two people ._.

The Star Seeker keychain is that of Yen Cid.Remember where Sora gets the Star Seeker From?.....thats right yen cid.

He was never EVER EVER ansem the wise's apprentice. He was the king at that time because we see Donald and goofy in there Disney castle gear/clothes in Yen Cids tower in the newest scenes.

ffs its Yen Sid, jesus his name backwards spells Disney, you think that'd be a clear distinct way of remember the spelling.

I've played it once, a while after it came out.
It's easy to overlook or forget facts from the game

it says it in kh2. He was yen cids apprentice *facepalm*. Pay attention :P
Yen Cid gave Sora that keyblade, so obviously its connected to him. it makes so much sense that its sad ^_^

Of course, this brings up the subject of whether or not Micky might have a big role in the game :P

The deal with the different Keyblade is unknown. Hopefully, that will be revealed to us in BBS. Yen Sid was Micky's mentor. He was the one who taught him.

I can't pay attention :P I have a low attention span. I'm still wondering how I paid enough attention to even look and finsh the game xD

Mickey should have a big role. Since...it's his first appearance in KH order. (Since he appeared in BBS and that is the first of the KH series really :P) Of course to me he only had a huge role in KH2(Not too big) and (Re:)CoM.

    Kingdom Hearts: Key To Royalty?

Sounds pretty good, Maybe you can play from him being the apprentice of Yen Sid to KH2 if Nomura will make something that long XD

I highly doubt its anything really important,I mean Sora has a ton of keyblades doesnt he now. It could just be somthing to do with the costume design and I think ill stick with that,im almost sure that his keyblade won't be explained.

I figured the keyblade weilders could have whatever blade choice they wanted, like Sora always uses the kingdom key of light, riku always uses his, and Kairi uses that girly thing you would call a stick.

But of course, after a while he uses oathkeeper and that other one...

i think it's preferance, like in the games.

and i think that Mickey was using star seeker in homage to his master, Yen Sid.

Mickey is the chosen wielder to the dark realm keyblade. Sora has the light realm version. Why there are two of the same keyblade with inverted colors is beyond me, (the darkness keyblade -Riku's looks completely different) but thats just the way it is.

Does it really even matter? Mickey obviously always had a keyblade if he could equip a keychain to one, you can't just have a keychain and hold it in your hand and then a magical key pops up, you have to attach the keychain to a keyblade, and since Star Seeker was a keychain, oh my f**king God! It had to be attached to a keyblade in order for Mickey to even use the sh*t, right? And where in the hell would you come up with, "Maybe Mickey is Master Xehanort's real apprentice.", Master Xehanort's apprentice would have probably been helping Terra, Ven, and Aqua fight Master Xehanot, since obviously there's only two known people that could train key blade wielders at that time, so Master Xehanort's apprentice would have been on TVA's side if he wasn't the appetence of Master Xehanort by default.

Where/when/what game, was that even stated in? I don't even remember the game saying that Mickey got his keyblade in the realm of darkness, maybe Nomura said it, but I don't recall a game saying that. You don't "find" a keyblade, the keyblade finds you, as Kingdom Hearts said that over, and over, and over again. Sora has two keyblades when using a drive form, and that's not explained, and it doesn't really matter.

King Mickey trains under Yen Sid, using Yen Sid's keyblade (Star Seeker). He later travels to the dark realm and finds the Inverted Kingdom Key. He doesn't necessarily own either keyblade, he just has a strong heart.

This will probably be explored in BBS.

That would be awesome, have him starting out as Yen Sid's apprentice all the way to the dark realm and gettin the Inverted Kingdom Key. And a final mix version with him during the kh2 or something

Thanks thats the answer i was looking for but what's with the Inverted Kingdom Key? Why was it in the dark realm?

I believe that keyblades choose masters depending on Who they are,not the purity of their heart.Once the keyblade choose a master i think it takes a form of a memory from there past. The kingdom Key was formed from soras memories of the island, riku's road to dawn took the form of his past year of walking in twilight to find sora's memories, kairi's was formed from the memories of her childhood in hollow bastion, roxas' keyblades, oblivion and Oathkeeper were formed from his dormant memories of riku and kairi. The keychains are actually the embodiement of the memories and that is why if they switch a keychain the keyblade changes form.
The keyblades that Terra, aqua, ven,Master Xeahnort and his apprentice wield don't have keychains and i think that these keyblades are formed from the power of there souls because nomura said that this game had alot to do with the soul.
