Why do you play video games?

If there is no other thing I can do, though, I do like books better ^^; lol

 

To kill time, and to have fun. Sometimes I play competetively, but I never really get 'serious' about it.

 

Have fun! Unless its one of my brothers games, *then* I play competitively >:D

 

People will disagree with me on this, but I see video games and any other kind of interactive media as another form of art. Games like Metal Gear Solid, Okami, Half-Life, and Silent Hill really appeal to me for not simply intuitive gameplay, but also great visuals, moving music, and engrossing storylines. You just can't really capture the atmosphere of being alone so well as Silent Hill 2 did if you took out the interactivity. Still, I do enjoy more casual games like Rock Band since they're really fun.

 

i do it cause my life sucks and i know i will never be able to be a robot/spy.

and it really helps inspire me for an art project for school

 

OMG. true! I always wish my life was a video game. I'm sure everyone does atleast once xD

 

I agree with the whole art form media stuff, all games are a form of art in one way or another just not many people realise it. And its all these things like visuals and audio which enhance the fun of the gameplay. It's like a wheel of fun creativity.

 

I just play for fun and to kill time when I'm bored mainly. Sometimes to beat the game, but I don't care about time.​

I don't even know why, it's pretty stupid >.<
But I hate it when I leave, for example, KHII on for a few hours then save it. It annoys me, LOOOOL.
