Why did Riku attack Sora in land of the dragons?

It says it wans't him but everyone should know it was cause he was weilding his keyblade.

if anyon knows why please tell me?

 

Its because he din't wanted to be seen in his Xenahort's Heartless form. He was achamed that Sora would see him like that. Since Sora must kill all those in the path of darkness, he has no choice but to hide himself from dark killers.

In short words, Riku is darkness, Sora is ligh, Riku was afread that Sora would kill him.

 

Something along the lines of what Rose said, more or less he didn't wana give himself away. Plus he probebly wanted to test soras strenght or something.

 

If you pay attention to the battle really, Riku was mostly just testing out Sora with combos and a couple light powers really. He was also, if you left him alone, doing attacks on the Heartless around. Because he got caught up with the Heartless there and Sora went after him, he had to live up to the rouse of being an Organization member, because he could not give that away, but at the same time, he was definitely not out to fight Sora to take him down or anything. After, he does his typical shrug he did in KH when you won him in the spars at Destiny Islands, so as to perhaps give a clue to Sora as to who he was, but maintain the masquerade of being an Org member to any who might spy on him.

 

Yeah, he wanted to see how Sora was doing so that's why he went to LOTD but Sora thought he was in the organisation so he wanted to kill him- Riku on the other hand just wanted to stay hidden so I'm guessing he was pretending to be evil, not certain though. I also think he was testing Sora's strength.

 

Basically what Repliku said. lol To put it shortly, Riku was just testing Sora, and since he was trying to fend off the heartless, he had to keep up the pretense of being the Organization member.
