The Jews did not kill him, God sent him to his death. Also, it was technically suicide as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are the same thing (polytheism much?).

Yeah the holes are a bit too much for it to be believable =/

Well, the Jews thought that their savior was going to be a mighty warrior and free them from enslavement, but Jesus came as a humble carpenter. Jesus told them he was God's son, but the Jews did not believe him and prosecuted him. But, the Romans were the one's who killed Jesus. From what i'm told, this was how it went, given the fact from historians... But i believe God told Jesus he must die in order to save us from sin, so Jesus went on with it.

The Roman governor washed his hands of the execution so the only mortals that could be blamed are the Jews. But as I said, it was god's plan all along so he is to blame.

On a test, I had to choose the polytheistic religion out of Judaism, Christianity, and Buddhism. I chose Chrisitanity and got it wrong. =/

But yeah, there are many contridictions in all forms of religion and alot of the time it just doesn't add up. Like how Cain killed Able, and yet the human race survived...

Yep, the whole of humanity is based on the immoral act of incest apparantly =] According to the Christian view anyway.

They had 3 sisters. So I guess incest had to happen, unless God chose to make a bunch of humans after Adam and Eve had their own children.

The only thing I don't understand with my religion is why gay marriage isn't supported. The most logical answer is because straight marriage allows children, thus contributing to the human race, but it just feels like gays were ignored in all this.

Which verse/book in the Bible says that they had 3 sisters? I would honestly like to know where it says that, as I never hear anyone say exactly where it is.

I honestly don't know what part of the Bible it is, but its said that they have three children, Cain, Abel, and Seth, and other sons and daughters.

I'd look it up in the Bible, but...blah, I'm lazy.

Boy did I get off track...

I'm sorry, but I regard that as lack of evidence and you're just trying to get away from giving the answer. I'd check my Torah (yes, I have a Torah), but I wouldn't understand it since it's not modern Hebrew.

Jesus died so He could pay the debt of all sinners.

But even though I am a Christian, I don't know why God let Jesus die.

I'm not Christian but have read the Bible 5 times and various areas more often so I know it pretty decently. What I said is basically the scenario as it is presented in the Bible.

An end comes to everything and perhaps it would be better if some would focus more on living today instead of living for death. Just an opinion here but I find the whole Judgment Day lessons to be rather lame.

I'd give the answer if I could, seriously, but I'd rather not make a huge debate over it. I'm just saying what I've heard. I never said it's true or anything. Wouldn't it seem more logical if Adam and Eve did have more children then just Cain and Abel though? I'm just trying to look at it from a reasonable perspective (awaits massive flames for this)

THe point is, the Bible is supposed to be an accurate history. Surely the children of the first humans would be a pretty important thing to include?

So he died to erase the sins of Adam and Eve? (Which is a stupid concept at best, as it is notwithstanding today's morals, and any god should be more forgiving than humans.)

Anyway, this means my sin is gone. At my birth, I am completely sin free. No original sin.

Does this mean I can strip and live in Eden now?

Okay, I checked out if Adam and Eve had any children, other than Cain and Able. Turns out they didn't, and magically, there were other humans. But that stuff we just flip over...
God is a real bitch. He told Adam and Eve not to eat an apple from the Tree of Knowledge. So because they ate a freaking apple, he kicked them out and forced them to work for the rest of their lives. He isn't really forgiving. And all religion is just an explanation of why we came to be. As if the first humans were really made of dirt and mud, and the rib of Adam. Actually, because of that, Adam and Eve had no navels.

Also, if Jesus died for our sins, shouldn't we be free of sin? Why would it matter if we commit a sin, if they are nonexistant. Wouldn't that mean Jesus died for nothing?

    Jesus=God.

He was basically sacrificing a part of himself to save the rest of us.

    If you believe, that is.

Also, it's pointless to debate creationism. It obviously didn't happen. It's meant to be a religious truth, not a historical one.

And Jesus died, not for sin, but for death. He destroyed the eternal death that existed before and ushered in eternal life.

Again, "belief" is the key word to all of this. If you don't believe in him, than this whole debate is irrelevant.

If someone believes that the Bible is an accurate history, then they're a neocon nutjob. God did not create the world in seven days. He did not just command light to be in existence. He didn't even shape it in his hands. It was a gradual, 4.6 billion-year(or 13 billion, in the case of the whole universe) process.

I really wish you guys actually knew something about religion before you started having a debate about it.

    Umm, huh?

Every creationist I have encountered believes that the world was physically and literally created by God. That the laws of physics as they are now were broken in amazing ways and matter was created. What branch of which religion are you part of which takes the whole creationist theory completely and utterly metaphorically (And seriously what is the point in that, how is that something that can even be believed in. It is basically just a plain lie)
