I've noticed this for a little while, but lately I can't seem to check properties of any picture, gif, video, or anything of the like when I right-click them on Chrome. I can "inspect" the element, and it tells me a bunch of things that I don't know, except maybe the width and length, but how come I can't find anything like image size and stuff like that? Does Chrome not have the "properties" option on right-click? I thought I was using it for a while, and that's why I'm confused now
Maybe you should reinstall the software--that might help or you might have one of those Trojan Horse viruses. If you have an antivirus program, you should usually check for viruses and delete them.
A virus wouldn't cause a trivial issue like that. However, at the same time, you should have a daily scan scheduled. I have it set to automatically scan every day at 12:00 PM. As for the question at hand, is this in your computer's folders or what?
no, this is right clicking on any sort of file in general, but only online. As I said, I don't know if it's just something with chrome, but I don't know why that would be, because it doesn't seem like something that would relate to something like Chrome, Mozilla, etc.
Okay, let me see if I'm understanding right: You search for images on google.com (or whatever you search on) You right click on image, and it tells you its dimensions?
No, what I'm saying it I right click on a picture/video on the internet, no matter where, and it comes up with the normal "save as", "Copy..." and all that nonsense, but it doesn't come up with properties like it normally does so I can check how big the file size is. Instead if comes up with "Inspect Element"
Hm. Okay. Can you provide two screenshots of the menu that comes up? One in Google Chrome and one in another browser, such as Mozilla Firefox?
Ah, Google Chrome. My mom had a similar issue with this. Are you just looking to find out the sizes of images? If so, Inspect Element has it on there, it's just in an html format making it a bit more complicated to find. When you click on Inspect Element, there are 6 tabs to the right of the html list for the page. Click on the one that says 'properties'. Under than there should be a section that says <img> click on that, ClientHeight and ClientWidth are the length and width of the photo.
Chrome's "Properties" is "Inspect Element", lol. I the window that appears, if you hover your cursor over the link of the image/video you see in the address bar, a highlight will appear on yur screen over it and tell you the proper dimensions.
But where can I see the file size? And I'm talking about the image size as in MB, that's what I'm trying to figure out
Showing screenshots with the difference doesn't matter now, since Plums just said that "inspect Element" is the replacement for "Properties". All I want to know is where to go in the Inspect Element, because I went through it all and still didn't find where to get the image's file size
