It does suck that the Vita has no UMD slot. But every cloud has a silver lining, right?

Games can't be bought any cheaper either on PSN , I admit i buy a lot of preowned games. Because of personal reasons. plus if a person doesn't have a credit/debit card. They'll have to go to the shop to buy psn card repeatedly and if they are say , a few penny's/cent off the game they want. they'll have to go back to the store to get more psn cards. I prefered UMD slots. But we'll have to see how this goes. I mean , the PSvita does look good so we'll see how it sells.

Personally I was fine about the UMD's because I mostly played the PSP when I was charging it up. Happy memories~~~

And my PSP still has it's shine, even if the screen is dusty. *reboots PSP*

I still love the PSP for games like Dissidia, BBS and Age of Zombies.
I still don't have a Next Gen system and considering the Ps3 is going to be cheaper, I'd probably get that over the Vita.

Doesn't the Vita have a number of Cloud features that would break if modded? And then you are waiting for PS2 emulation which probably won't come. IIRC the Vita specs are similar to the PS3 and the PS3 didn't cut it to emulate the PS2. Maybe a hardware mod but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

Rebuy? What do you mean rebuy?
Even though the VITA doesn't have a UMD slot it dose have room to put in your games.
What are they anyway? They look like DS cards.

Those are flash cards. Basically memory cards kinda like the ones the PSP uses. The Vita will allow you to have two in at once. One for the game and another that really is just a memory card. Some games will allow you to save directly on the game and others will require you to have that memory card. It's rumored(confirmed maybe?) that games that don't use the other memory card cannot use DLC or something...so only games that let you use the seperate memory card will have DLC available. Again, that little bit is a rumor(unless it's confirmed already).

Also, Sony already confirmed that if you bought the games in UMD format, you have to rebuy the game as a downloadable version if you want to play it on your Vita. It'll be at a discounted price however. As for how low it'll go? I dunno. Also, you can transfer PSP saves to your PS3(or computer) then to a Vita so you don't have to worry about losing your save if you want to switch over to a Vita.
