I only got to 60 something in KH2, after beating Sephiroth there was nothing left to do really.

I noticed on Critical Mode that boosted stats make very very small differences in STR and defense (and possibly Magic; I didn't max Magic to 100 or above).

I was 71 STR and 75 Defense when I fought the ES for the first time. I came back when I was 100 STR and 101 Defense and I BARELY saw a difference. The only thing I noticed was my Finishers did slightly more damage. I saw no difference in my defense and I was still constantly brought down to 1HP within seconds.

The same happened with the Data fights, although it was mostly STR that I saw a difference in, albeit small.

Maybe it's because they're strength and defense is so high that you really need to increase it before you start to see a difference.

Possibly. I always looked at it like fixed stat battles in terms of how bad they can damage you. But maybe you're right---although beating Xemnas for Power Ups just doesn't seem worth it. It takes too long. -.-

How long is the Xemnas battle?

And think of it this way:

If you're at level 1 fighting a level 99 monster, you're screwed. Leveling up to level 10 won't do much, either. But leveling up to 60 will make things much easier. Think of the boosts this way.

Xemnas is a two part battle, so it's like... 20+ bars of health; and he's not a hack and slash boss. You actually gotta wait a lot before getting in there and hitting him.

    It's just so... annoying. lol.

Dammit. I really was hoping Power Boosts would be easier to get.

Oh, well, I'm a trooper. I'll take him down as many times as I need to.

I'm going through Xigbar a bunch of time for the Defense Boosts. Because I can't get very far into the ES. D':

I'm pretty sure Saix is easier for Defense Boosts (from what I've heard).

I do Saix for Defense boosts. XD Going Final Form right at the beginning I took him down to 2-3 bars remaining before he could go Berserk.

    Nothing can stop human ingenuity!

With Saix, the only issue is that when he throws his Claymore, you literally have 3 seconds to retrieve it before it disappears. And you have to do that when he's still in Berserk mode. lol.

And I guess that with so many options at your disposal, it's easy to find loopholes in some of the battles I guess, although I do admit that Final Form just ripping out a lot of the data fights is quite uncharacteristic for Critical Mode.

I beat Vexen, Xigbar, Saix, and Zexion by spamming Final Form somewhat mindlessly. But a lot of the others for me just required spamming Limit Form. I beat Lexaeus, Larxene, Axel, Roxas, and Luxord this way. I beat Demyx by spamming Wisdom Form... XD. The only ones I had to do things somewhat differently with were Marluxia, Xemnas and Xaldin.

It is. Expecially because I don't have the patience to get to Lv. 99.

Xemnas has a total of 34 bars.

But he's really easy. Guard, attack, turn around, guard, attack, turn around, guard, etc.

You turn around because when he moves in the dark portal, he comes from behind you.

    Twilight Xemnas:

When he does the spheres, just glide into him, and reflect. That alone takes about more then half a bar, plus you can combo him. The entire thing combined takes away 4 bars for me.

When he throws you up, reflect. I did reflect a couple times during that, he was down at the last bar, then did the laser dome.

Then it was over for him.

Takes about 4-7 minutes to beat him.

    Xigbar is really easy.

In about 10 minutes, I can beat him 5-7 times. ^_^

Thats 5-7 defense boosts in 10 minutes.
