I'm a Freshman and it's my first year marching. I really like it but once again I'm hoping to make colorguard(flags). Yeah I'm a wierd person. Deal with it. Oh and about the woodwinds kick brass thing like about 99% of our woodwinds in the school have a button that says it!! Hehehe... I don't have one cause my friend C-chan plays trumpet. (Nee-chan plays flute)

 

Lol, least you don't want to be a cheerleader, then I'd have to shun you. But color guard is equally fun. One of my best friends (a boy for that matter) did winter guard his freshman year. Let's just say he never lost the title of guard guy, even when he became drum major :D

 

i would call us a group more than a band. im one of the lead singers and theres like six. but its still a lot of fun! Mostly because we worship the Lord.

 

Lol, you remind me of a daughter of one of my mom's close friends. She has her own christian band as well.

 

Choir... I miss singing. I'll be getting back in a choir Spring semester. Yay for a cappella choir! XD Plus I'll get to hang out with one of my best friends everyday. ^^

 

Woodwinds DO kick brass!!!!

But if, for some reason, I couldn't play woodwind anymore, percussion would be my second option. =\

 

Doh, I forgot to mention that I also played in my school's indoor percussion during the winter. I marched cymbals and bass drum. Percussion is a blast!

i am, once, over here in the philippines, i was about 5th grade or something, and it was the flower festival, and there was a band competition, and to raise points for the competition, you've got to be creative, i was supposed to be drums, but they were out of stock, so i was part of the thick bamboo stem thingy, and we was one of the important as we was the guide for the drummers and stuff and well, we won 3rd, but at least we got to take part in the closing of the festival and all of us enjoyed.

Ooohhh meeememeee!! I happen to be a member of my marching band, a mini marching band, and concert band...I play ze flute....been playing it for about 6 years or so...^_^

 

The clarinet section in marching band finally gave my a nickname!! You see almost all the sections leaders or seniors give the others in their section nicknames!! Mine's Ruper!!:D :D

I've been playing the flute since 4th grade...
Which would be a longer time If I wasn't in 7th grade. :D
We do a field trip to 6 Flags every year for a competition. We always win 1st place. BOOYAH!
Anyways, for the competition, we have to memorize 2 marching songs. Last year we had 2 Sousa songs, Simper Fedelis and The Thunderer.
I think one of the ones we're doing this year is the Orange Bowl, which is what we're practicing now...

And I'm lazy about practicing as well. :P I only do it when I'm bored out of my mind, or when I practice Hikari. ;)
