The title explains the nature of this thread. I want to know which Team or Duo in Anime and/or Manga is your favourite and why. Mine, is of Course Itachi and Kisame because for one i can resonate with there philosophies. I seek to create Illusion and also seek out Truth. Another reason why they are me favourite Team is that they work so well together, they are complete opposites and yet they are so similar. Third of all of course is that with their power they choose to stick by philosophy rather than the nature of men with power.

Mine is probably a tie between Yusuke and Kuwabara (YuYu Hakusho) and Naruto and Sasuke (when they were still team seven)

The former because in the beginning they're punks who hate each other but after tons of laughs and plenty of crazy spirit world affairs they become good buds.

The latter because I can relate to having a friend and then losing them in the span of almost no time at all. Even after Sasuke tries to drive them apart Naruto refuses to give up his search. He's so brave and noble. I wish I could be that kind of person sometimes...

Kazuma and Ryuho from s-CRY-ed. The representations of rebel and order given incredible power, or so that's how I see them. Everything about them clashes and their ways of life are so different but then in the end, they become the most powerful combined force in the world (at least in their world) but still see each other as rivals.

Simon and Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann in the beginning of the series. Simon is a practical hard worker who is relatively sensible, fairly shy, and intelligent while Kamina is a big dreamer who specializes in encouraging people and cheering them up, and is reckless, outgoing and not terribly bright. Everything about them screams opposites yet the bond and trust between the two is unbreakable and I really like that about them. It even shows in the series when it's revealed that Kamina is as scared as anyone else during a fight, and his "invincible superhero" persona is basically a mask he puts on so that Simon won't be afraid. He's only ever able to act tough because of his deep faith in Simon, and his knowledge that his "blood brother" will always pull through in the end.

I've got several. Holo and Lawrence from Spice & Wolf, Van and Fiona from Zoids: Chaotic Century, and Kenshin and Kaoru from Rurouni Kenshin. I like them all for the same reason; all three males are fighting to become someone better, and their female companions all support them.
In the case of Holo and Lawrence, he helps her feel less alone, while she helps him reach his dream of being a great merchant. Though during the second season of the anime
they grow much closer, and after nearly losing Holo to a rival merchant Lawrence comes to her "rescue" and confesses that he loves her, and they then continue on their journey together.
With Van and Fiona, Fiona also encourges Van to be the best Zoid pilot, and actually helps him in several situations where he'd completely lost hope. Not to mention that she prevents him from doing completely stupid and dangerous things. xD And in return Van promises to help her regain her memory.
And finally, Kenshin and Kaoru just make a completely ass kicking team, both are masters of a form of swordplay. Though Kaoru helps Kenshin escape his past, and Kenshin continues to fight against people from his past for the sake of Kaoru. More specifically in the final chapters of the series, when Enishi returns and
fakes Kaoru's death for Kenshin to see, but kidnaps her and Kenshin eventually finds him and beats the **** out of him to save Kaoru.
What I love about the series though is how it ended, with
Kaoru and Kenshin being married and have a son, and Kenshin is finally ready to move on from the past and into a better future.

    ...Yep. xD

    Edward and Alphonse Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. Really, do I have to explain? Their bond is so strong that I feel it too, and I always--always cry during Conqueror of Shambala. ;~;

Mine have to be lots of Anime duos.
The first is Ash and Pikachu because they've always been together as best friends, and me and my girlfriend started out with her not liking me and me making an effort to be friends, just like these two.

the second one is Goku and Vegeta. They are friends, but they still compete a lot, just like myself and some of my friends.

the third (and most favorite) is Ed and Al from Fullmetal Alchemist. I mean, look at how much Ed feels for his brother to have had the guts to sacrifice his arm to keep his brother with him. Of course it may have been out of panic but still. That's a true Brotherhood.

hmm, I guess my personal favorites would have to be Yusuke Uremeshi and Kuwabara, as well as Simon and Kamina.

Yusuke and Kuwabara just because they're not just a bunch of punks, but a bunch of punks that can mop the floor with practically anybody. And they're funny to boot

And Simon and Kamina just because Kamina is an awesome character, he's funny, and somewhat idiotic, and Simon is just that kid that tries to look up to Kamina, and that makes his character all the more better

I like Hei and Suo from Darker than Black because they work really well together. Hei has his experience and he teaches Suo so she can fight. Though I also like the July and Suo combo because July can give Suo the information she needs for a perfect shot.

I also like Soul and Maka from Soul Eater because even though they may seem like two different people they still come together in the end to overcome any obstacle that gets in there way.

Sakura and Syaoran from CardCaptor Sakura.
Even though they were competing against each other for the clow cards, they worked really well together despite Syaoran disliking Sakura at first. It was just adorable. XD

Another would be Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian. They are just so... your typical "best friend though I won't show it" kind. They have this chemistry between them (I don't mean it in a romantic way but you know what i'm trying to say) It's like they balance each other. Ciel is the reserved angry type in a way. While Sebastion has this grace and calmness about everything.

If you love this duo, then I'd LOVE to suggest that you watch/read Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles if you have not already done so. It takes Syaoran and Sakura to a whole new level and it's hard to not fall in love with them. It's a lovely story with plenty of action, romance, comedy and all that jazz. It's got a lot of crossovers, but that only makes the story all the more AWESOME. x33

    I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS. lol

I'd have to say my favorite are Panty and Stocking from P&S with Garterbelt, because even though they're sisters, they couldn't be more different. (Stocking is a goth, while Panty is the Celeb party girl you see like every weekend.) With every argument, there is teamwork, and/Or a Peaceful ending for the two. Like Garter says, they are more powerful when they work as a team, in or out of battle.
Like in the Eps. "Les Diaboliques", "If Angels wore swimsuits", and "B*tch Girls/ B*tch girls 2: B*tch", they teamed up to beat their Rivals/Counterparts, Scanty and Kneesocks. And when in the Ep. "The Catfight club", at the end when Panty gave Stocking her Pudding back after Panty had stolen the first and eaten it, it seemed so sisterly.
