Birth by Sleep Who is connected to Aqua???

Nomura said that it is easy to see who is connected to terra and ven.
Terra is connected to Riku because he choosed him to weild his keybalde and he
used him as Ansem in Kingdom Hearts I.
Ven is connected to Sora.....his Hearts went into Sora and his Nobody looks like Ven and some of Vens memories are in Sora.
But Nomura said it is difficult to see who is conneted to Aqua.
Does anybody know who is connected to Aqua and how?????

 

I don't know if there's a deep connection, but Aqua is connected to a lot of the events.
She saved Xehanort from falling into the darkness which pretty much set the whole series up.

She saved Kairi with Mickey's help.
I know I'm probably missing something here, but that's what I know for now

 

It's much less of a connection, but the obvious answer would be Kairi. Aqua has the name connection thing going for her and as far as a metaphysical connection... well the closest thing we have is that Aqua put a spell on Kairi's necklace and Kairi has worn it ever since. I DO think it has some greater purpose/meaning.

 

My bet is on Mickey.
In the Gathering video she was the one to pick up the Dark realm keyblade.
And they both have acted as the light within the darkness during both their adventures.

 

She's the only one of the three who's interacted with the all main cast (Sora, Donald, Goofy, Riku, Kairi, and Mickey) in some way shape or form.

 

Really? I didn't know that. I've always loved Kairi's necklace, too.

Well Kairi could also been seen in that light (for lack of a better way of phrasing that). Riku was guided by Kairi (well Namine I suppose) to understand that he could exist between the dark and the light, and all through Sora's journeys he overcame the darkness due to both Riku and Kairi.

Still, as much as I like the Kairi answer for this, I like to think of Aqua as connected to all of the events surrounding the Kingdom Hearts series, not simply one person.

EDIT: I just found out that in Birth by Sleep,

after Kairi gives Aqua flowers, Aqua acquires the keyblade that Kairi wields in Kingdom Hearts II. So there must be some sort of connection between the two, as Kairi can wield a keyblade that belongs to Aqua... I don't know if it is actually Aqua's keyblade, though, as when Xemnas speaks to Aqua's armor in Final Mix+ I seem to remember her keyblade being there.
