Kingdom Hearts II Who is better Riku or Sora?

Sora, DURRR. he's amazing in every aspect of the word.
and I give him SO much credit for actually being able to FUNCTION wearing that outfit.
(I cosplayed as him. unless I was wearing the outfit wrong, I've learned it is no small task running around with those belts criss-crossing everywhere. props to the Sora for succeeding where I failed. XP) plus he has an amazing personality. for a video game character, he really seems like he could be a real person. maybe he IS. O____O ohmygod that would be COOL.

I like Riku and Sora both, but I like Sora's personality better.

 

This s a hard qeustion to answer, since both Sora and Riku are really strong. So the only way I can gove an answer is by looking over each charecters history in battle.

While Sora is strong, it seems like he almost never fights anyone by himself. So if you take away everyone helping Sora, you'll find that he can't use his strongest attacks. While there are a few battles he fights himself, such as Xehanort's heartless, out of the that eniter battle, their are only a couple parts were Sora has to get into a really hard fight himself.

Now for Riku. It's clear he's strong, but the thing that is diffrent between him and Sora is that Riku fights most of his battles alone. If you think about it, the strongest person that Sora had to face alone was Xehanort's heartless, but Riku also faced him alone. Riku also faced No. 5 of the XIII (who's name I can't remember at this time) and destroyed the Riku clone. Now add in the fact that the only reason that Riku had to become "Ansem" was because he stabbed the Oblivion Keyblade into the ground by Roaxs's head, and didn't summon his own Keyblade.(or was it still just the Soul Eater at that time?) Then, even when Roaxs had two weapons, the only time he get's a real hit, you can just barrly see that Riku uses his dark sheild to block it. (at lest I saw that, don't know if anyone else did.) Then, as several people mentiioned before, Riku was willing to go to the depths of darkness because he though that it would help Sora and Kairi. And lets not forget that if it wasn't for Riku, Xemnas would have cut Sora's head off.


So, I have to say that I think Riku is better.

I would have to say Riku...don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Sora! But Riku is just...Riku...heh.

And along with every other girl out there, I am a complete victim to the bad-boy syndrome.

 

Riku, hands down.

Sora is a little optimistic little brat. He's always happy and always tries to be the hero. Riku on the other hand is a bit too emo for me, but he's ALOT better than Sora. Riku's more down to earth and know's where he stands, unlike Sora who thinks he's better than everyone else cause he was the first keyblade weilder out of all of his friends. Riku's also hotter and has better hair. Sora never says thank you. (When Axel exploded for him, did he says thanks? NOOOOO! When Ansem the Wise blew up Kingdom Hearts did he says thank you? NOOOOO!) BUT, I must admit, somewhere deep down inside of me, I really do like Sora.

Riku's just better.

 

Also, about the "Sora never being angery" thing, its so true. Like when Mickey more or less said he knew where Riku was, but wouldn't tell Sora where, did Sora get mad? No, he just went semi-emo for about five seconds, and was then back to normal. (If it were me, I would have taken my keyblade and beat the answers out of the little mouse, but thats just me.)

Riku is the best he won a fight blindfoled while in a hot black cloak. Has the power of darkness (Need to have good timing to use his abilites to the max) and is even hotter in his jeans and shirt (Sexy Emo look) and his hair is what gets everyone, it is platinum silver!!!!

 

You're right. It's probably a little sheer. If it wasn't he'd run into DiZ and Sora a lot XD especially Mickey because he's so short!

In terms of hotness......RIKU!But I hate him.True he is guilty that he went into darkness and all but really.....he is overrated and what is up with all the ******ed theories of Axel being Riku's Nobody?He cannot be.

I like Sora better because he is close to my age and is sooooooo adorable!He is friends with many people and has a really close relationship with a princess of heart who managed to turn him back into a human..True he killed my fav characters and all but he is better than Riku.

 

Wait a minute. Sora does say thank you. He couldn't say thanks most of the time because he has to follow someone's request to get out of someplace (most likely somewhere that is going to blow up). Also why would you say thank you to someone when they are dying that's just going to make them feel even worse. It's kinda like "Axel thank you for putting your whole being into an attack and opening a way for me to save Kairi." NO! He says thank you when he gets the chance.

trust me my friend is replaying KH2 so I've seen him say thank you a lot.

 

Sora is only strong because of his Keyblade and his allies. If it wasn't for that, he'd be a little weakling. You saw it in Kingdom Hearts where he lost his Keyblade.

If Sora and Riku TRULY went one on one, yeah...

 

When Sora lost the stinking keyblade, he didn't show how weak he was...he showed how strong he was. After everything in life failed Sora, he still had the strength of heart to go on. True, the keyblade allowed him to kill Heartless, but it doesn't give him strength.

It takes a strong heart to wield a keyblade in the first place. The keyblade is just a weapon that helps the user, it doesn't give them the power. That's the mistake that all the Disney Villains make in KH1. "The child's strength is not his own," says Jafar, as Sora is chopping him into little pieces. Everyone thought the keyblade gave the user strength, but really, you have to have strength to wield the keyblade, else everyone would get a keyblade and have as much strength as Sora.

It's kind of like pessimistic (Riku) versus optimistic (Sora). Riku's definitely more like me in personality (I guess, closer than Sora is anyway), and I think he'd make a great friend. In terms of who I like better, however, it'd have to be Sora.

On a more serious note, I still picked Riku because a) he is very strong b) he can fight blindfolded True, he has his faults and imperfections, but so does Sora.

 

Com Sora is my favorite character, and in Japanese he's a lot better in the other two.

In English, I despise both of them. Sora's ******ed, Riku's also stupid, full of himself and then incredibly emotionally fragile. Riku seems kinda gay, and Sora seems bisexual.
