    SPOILERS IN THIS POST

It's very hard to rank Kingdom Hearts characters because they all have so much plot armor. I'm going to exclude Final Fantasy characters for the sake of ease and I'm also going to do 5 because 10 is a lot. I may edit it later on to include 10. I'm also going to go off physical/magical strength, not like how pure someone's heart is and stuff. Sora's an automatic out for me. He's obviously number 1 because he's the main character, so it's kind of expected.

    5.) Marluxia
Though this goes against the common video game idea that chronology determines strength, Marluxia appears to be one of the more underrated characters in the Kingdom Hearts series because he was defeated early in the game.

Marluxia exemplifies a lot of good qualities such as mastermind planning. He created a plan to take over the Organization which started with Sora; however, many mishaps led him to fail. Similar to Bleach's Byakuya's Zenbonsakura Kageyoshi, Marluxia can duplicate flower petals and send them rushing towards his opponent. He's also shown ability to teleport around when in battle. He has an abundance of powerful moves and even has a final form parallel to Ansem Seeker of Darkness' first final form.

    4.) Aqua

First of all, she's more than capable of wielding a keyblade as seen at the beginning of Birth By Sleep when she was on par with Terra. She's a lot more faster than Terra too, making it harder for opponents to hit her. She's beat Braig and Vanitas, two exceptional fighters in BBS. Her arsenal also now consists of Eraqus' keyblade which she used to spawn Castle Oblivion. Her magic skills with a keyblade are really well-rounded. Aqua's fire and thunder spells have a slight variation compared to other magic keyblade users and she's able to use "Reflect" on herself and others to protect every angle.

Now the reason I'd say she's above people like Marluxia and Roxas is mostly because of her ability to fight against the Vanitas-Ventus keyblade hybrid.
She destroyed that ultimate keyblade thing while also saving Ventus' heart.

That spark of power she got from her charm gave her the strength to defeat the Keyblade.

    3.) Riku

By far one of the most expected characters to be in the top 5 so I really don't have to go into detail.

    2. Xehanort (Ansem/Xemnas)

I'm kind of including Ansem and Xemnas with Xehanort because they're technically all one person.

Xehanort has such an abundance of abilities in the series. Not only is he a Keyblade Master, but he also has exceptional magic skills. He can use thunder, blizzard, and earth magic against his foes as seen when he froze Ventus and shot those huge earth pillars out of the ground. He's also able to block Braig's arrows without even raising his hands. Let's not forget how he controlled those thousands of keyblades in the Keyblade Graveyard like it was an afterthought.

He also has superb intelligence and planning. A better mastermind than Osama Bin Laden, he planned out Organization XIII and the possession of Riku for 11 years. How could he have possibly known about Riku's involvement without planning ahead? Xehanort also knows a lot about the heart as he was able to manifest the darkness of Ventus' heart into an actual being, Vanitas.

Xehanort's counterparts, Xemnas and Ansem Seeker of Darkness, are both the "final bosses" of KH 1 and 2. Being Xehanort's nobody and heartless, they're really only fragments of Xehanort's real self. In conclusion, they're slightly weaker than the whole, complete, Xehanort.

    1. Terra

One of the reasons I chose Terra is that he' s not really an obvious character for the strongest. Most people would say Riku or Xehanort because those are kind of expected. Terra isn't really an expected choice and that's why I think he's one of the strongest. If that makes sense.

Anyway, Terra has shown many examples of being a powerful character. At the beginning of Birth By Sleep, he's able to hold his own against Aqua and could have become a Keyblade Master; however, Eraqus doesn't like the darkness. The darkness is the main reason Eraqus disapproves of Terra.

Now onto his most infamous battle in the Kingdom Hearts series. Xehanort, being the main antagonist of the Kingdom Hearts series so far, is definitely the strongest of all evil bosses. As said before, both of Xehanort's counterparts (Xemnas and Ansem) are the final bosses to Kingdom Hearts I and II. He also has some of the most complex magic. Terra is able to defeat Xehanort a few times, but is possessed by Xehanort's spirit. Even then, Terra still coexists with Xehanort. Xehanort is the one on the offensive, so if he was stronger, he should have been able to completely eradicate Terra immediately. By being able to hold his own against the main villain of the series so far,Terra radiates a strong character.

Honorable mentions go towards the following:
    6.) Vanitas
    7.) Saix
    8.) Roxas
    9.) Mickey
    10.) Maleficent

Damn, you have a good list and good reasons minus Aqua so I expect to see something later (if you feel like it of course) so for this you get a like. just a question, is Vanitas on there because he is literally a one man army (or at least capable of creating an army)?

Vanitas seems like a pretty powerful character and I feel as though his fights kind of underrate him. He can use a keyblade and magic well. Along with these abilities, he can teleport and do all kinds of flips as well as run at super speed. Plus, after battles, he appears to not even be hurt. He jumps up really quickly and then just goes off.

The whole Unversed summoning thing is one of the main reasons as to why he's so powerful. I think it took Mickey and Ventus to take him down as well.

I might as well do Aqua now.

Honestly the only reason why Vanitas`s durability sucks ass in fights against the main characters is because he is a being of pure darkness against a weapon of light, it just isn`t a fair fight. And thank you for explaining Aqua, nice job

It's a hard question, dude many variations.

I'll try to categorize, but still I'll not be happy with my choices...

    • Physically saying? Laxeaus (just remember the battle against his "ghost" in KH II final mix and the power meter)
    • Keyblade skills? Sora (specially his Drives forms and combos)
    • Magic and wise? Yen Sid
    • Powerful in darkness? Master Xehanort.
    • Power to overcome darkness and serve the light? King Mickey
    • Keyblade mastery? Aqua
    • Capability to endure over 10 years in Realm of Darkness, ALONE, and fighting hordes of Heartless without getting mad or losing the mind? AQUA.

Wait shouldn't a keyblade master be the one proficient in keyblade skills and aren't there other characters ,such as Master Xehanort, who are both magic and wise?
