This thread goes right along with my Gay Marriage thread.

Ok, I personally think that homosexual marriages can be a lot stronger than marriages between a man and a women.

You know how many divorces there are in this world today. Sometimes, a male and a female just can't seem to work out their problems. Maybe they can't understand each other.

No offense to you girls, but sometimes women totally manipulate men into doing what they want.

No offense to you guys, but some of you totally treat women as your little play things.

I know, I know, some of you believe that marriage is sacred. I do too. That's why I think that if you're going to get married, make sure you're ready for it.

Anyway, do any of you think that homosexual marriages are stronger than some straight ones?

It just depends on the people in the relationship. I've known lesbians and gays who have had miserable relationships with people of the same sex.

It doesn't matter about gendar, the strongest marriges are built on love, not gendar. That's what I believe...

I think they both have the same potental to fail or succeed. It just that people rush to quickily into these things & don't know what they are getting themselves into.

If people really love each other they will do their best to help one another in time of need. I don't really see how homosexual marriages are stronger. They are still people & will have their flaws like any other marriage.

Really? Interesting. Yeah, I guess it's really dependent on the people.

I'm not gay, but I think that all homosexual (gays and lesbians) marriages are stronger in the comprehension part... They can undersatnd each other a lot better I guess... As for the rest it's like any man/woman marriage..

    ok it depends.
u cant just go out and say gay marriges r stronger then straight marriges.
it depends on so many things.

    *sigh*

i think this thread is somewhat pointless..
peole r either going to say it depends on the people..
or they r going to pick sides..

I just think that same sex couples can understand each other more, like what Desmonic said.

again it depends on the people.
different sexes can understand eachonther well also.
it just depends on who the person is with or how they act
    or wat they like ect.

Yeah, it's like when I'm having some kind of trouble my friends(males) usually get to it faster than the girls ( I say usually cuz some of them are just to dumb to even see that me or any other person is having problems..)
As for the girls, I guess it's the same thing....
Usually people from the same sex understand each other better, than people from opposite sex..... I guess that's wy there have been so many divorces lately..

That totally depends on your friendship with people. Some of my guy friends could tell if something was upsetting me while some of my other friends were still clueless about it.

Divorces happen for many differnet reasons, it's not simply because couples don't understand one another.

People really shouldn't get married unless they have a special bond & understanding with someone else, but that's what i think.

What you is true, very true. But one of the biggest reasons for the many divorces is lack of understanding...
As for friends, your right when you say it depends on the tipe of friendship with the people, but usually who knows, almost immediately, that you having problems in your life? Guy friends or girl friends?

I'm to lazy to write a huge long enourmous 5 paragraph long essay on this, only to further what Naniki just said. Because that's what I believe too. Race, gender, and age should have NOTHING to do with love. The passion and connections made are the only things that matter.

i think that homosexual marriages ARE stronger at present but that's becuz you know how gays are ridiculed. so it would take ALOT more love to get them to get married.

Lack of comfort for their sexuality makes them more loving towards eachother? You have to be comfortable with your sexuality and who you are if you've come out of the closet. Like any other normal people homosexuals don't care what others think of them.

You may be right on the whole "understanding each other" bit, but you could also be wrong. Some people don't understand others period.

As other people have said, it really just depends on the people and their unique personalities rather than the gender of the people involved in the relationship. A man that is rude to women could be just as rude to another man.

Sexuality has nothing to do with it. It's the society we live in today. Most people expect instant satisfaction, don't own up to their own mistakes (blaming others) and don't communicate.
The big one here is communication - is a marriage is completely lax on communication then it's almost doomed to fail... regardless if it's homosexual or heterosexual.
I have many friends of different orientations... they can never seem to keep their relationships straight - er... no pun intended... I see it all of the time, sadly, they don't talk... they're afraid to. My two best friends (a gay couple), together for 2.5 years... falling apart because they're afraid to talk. It's sad. =\

    Paopu is right...

It all depends on whether you have communication or not. But I think that gay marriages are stronger than most normal marriages...

I believe that in a gay marriage, the lovers get married because they are truely in love and not because of an unplanned pregnancy...

Gay or straight marriage, same thing. It's not a matter of what gender the couple is,just by how much the couple in general love each other and the history they share.
    Darn,that was cheesy.
