Where my AP Lit & Comp bros at?

I didn't love anything we read this year personally, though I did enjoy Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man and Jane Eyre. Nothing I was crazy about.

We didn't really have assignments. :v I wrote two essays to hand in over the length of the year.

 

I sorely regret not taking AP classes in high school (except AP Bio....**** that class). I had such an easy time with the regular classes :|

 

This forever. :|

 

I literally felt like a complete damned idiot in that class and got an F. Made me paranoid of ever taking a science class again (which, of course, I have to do in college for my degree...)

 

I am terrible in AP Physics. ;-;​

I got to choose my own books and the rest was essential literature, so I enjoyed a lot of it. Probably my favorite required reading was The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

My high school years were more like independent study, and I took one or two classes with actual teachers for one hour a week. The rest was independent study and homework. Not unlike college, I take it?

 

I don't even care how I do on it anymore, I just want it to be over​.

 

I wanted to take AP classes, but I could never convince my councilor to let me. I was in the gifted program, but the only other time I was allowed outside of regular classes was PLTW (an engineering class). And even that was a freshman/sophomore class taken my senior year since that was when the program was introduced.

 

Yeah, I realized that I had no hope for the Bio AP but I'm hoping I'll remember some of the stuff I learned and I'll take Bio as my science requirement in college.

What about astronomy/cosmology?

 

i think i took about 8 APs while in high school. the AP Lit test wasn't too bad, it was just SUPER long. like all those practice questions that you do in class, like the ones where you read the paragraph and then answer the questions or write an essay, took up the majority of the actual exam so it wasn't like horrid. where i live, in order for me to get a college credit for it i had to get at least a 4 instead of a 3 and i did so that what pretty sweet.

and plums the ap bio exam was SUPER hard for me in high school because i literally did not study at all until i entered college, but like if you know cellular respiration and photosynthesis and parts of the cell you can literally B.S. your way through almost everything else.

I'm probably going to be forced into AP Lit when the time comes. Frankly, I'm just glad that I got stuck in Chemistry Honors instead of AP, because the teachers in my school are awful~

 

@ Kites: My god 8 APs? ;____; Beastly. I've only taken three tests, four classes (crapped out on the Bio AP like yeaaaah).

But I am done! I think it went pretty well, two of my essays were weaker than I would have liked and some of the multiple choice passages were really complex, but I can definitely see myself in the 3 or 4 range.

 

Yeah I was pretty crazy in high school too. But not nearly that crazy. I think I took about 6 APs? I could be missing a few. I didn't pass all of them.
