Is it to store all your porn on? Cause that's certainly what I do.

The best place is Japan because you don't have that delay on releases. Also know Japanese, that is important. A few other languages wouldn't hurt either because you won't be getting subtitles. I suppose you get get subtitles in Kanji or something though ... so just make sure you're fluent in the Japanese language both spoken and written.

Srsly though, just google it, dude.

My first choice is always Crunchyroll. I would also say give Funimation a try; all the subtitled anime is free, but if you're someone who enjoys dubs, paying the subscription fee isn't too bad. I would say Netflix is also a good choice, but just about all the anime there is owned by Funimation, so you'd be paying the same amount as Funi, but with less of a library (on the plus side, you get tons of other films and shows).

    This.

So, delete some stuff and then watch.

If you're ready to stop half-assing your hobby of watching anime, then invest in an external harddrive. I bought a 1TB one for about $100, you can probably get some for even cheaper. You can even backup your laptop/computer with other **** on there just in case.

Streaming for free isn't any better. Neither is paying for a subscription to stream legally.

The reason I say this is because, yes, some of the money goes to the studio, but the majority of it goes to the website (Crunchyroll). Now, why would Crunchyroll need this money? I mean, they are worth $15 million. Oh, to pay translators to make the subs, of course. That makes sense, right? Oh, but wait, there are tons of sub groups out there who do it for free, which suggests that making subs isn't difficult enough to make it a full-time job. So basically Crunchyroll is making money off of other people's product (Japanese studios' anime) and I'm highly against it.

So in conclusion, download your **** and don't forget to seed.

Bandwidth wise, there is literally no difference between downloading and streaming.
The only difference is that in streaming you are downloading a low quality version of something that you could get in high quality for the exact same amount of bandwidth. You're also downloading something that you can't even access without an internet connection.

There is literally no reason to stream over downloading[DOUBLEPOST=1390852914][/DOUBLEPOST]Check em

To be honest, I don't know how to download from torrent sites. It's just one of those things on the internet that I don't quite understand doing. I've tried, but it's confusing for someone like me. I like streaming because I can just click a button and not worry about other things I have to do. I like Crunchyroll because they paid for the license to use their product; that's enough for (someone as simple as) me. That says to me that the original creators have given our permission for this company to broadcast this to a wider audience. So what if I don't have an internet connection? I can put on some of the shows that I bought or watch something different.

I went to go see the Madoka movie last month, which involved taking a long car ride (with a bunch of other people), and was a pretty expensive trip. When I came home, I wanted to talk about it with a friend, so he downloaded it from somewhere, watched it, and came over. I didn't give him crap for it. I understand that some people download for their own reasons, which is perfectly. I don't because I really don't understand it, and if there's something I really like, I want to support it. My only exception to this rule if there is no legal way for me to get my hands on it.

I want to watch Game of Thrones to see what all the hype is about, but I'm not paying for HBO and the box sets are too expensive. I can legally get it here in the States, so unless I have a friend who is willing to loan it out to me, I'm going to stay in the dark (unless I read the books). I bought a couple of episodes of the final season of Breaking Bad because I was moving and I didn't want to miss what happened. To counter that, I watched the Usagi Drop movie on YouTube. It had been a year after the movie premiered and I'm pretty sure that it has not got an official license from anywhere here in the states. And if it does somehow get licensed all these years later, I'll put aside some money to pay for it to show my support and to have a really good movie.

I buy the blu rays if English subs are available but I still download the fansub version. Sometimes the fansub version is better than the official version.

If you don't want to torrent you can always use XDCC. Its usually quicker.

If you want to support animu then go and buy the BD's from Japan.
Otherwise there's nothing you can do to support them. If you have a Crunchyroll account then you are supporting Crunchyroll. PEANUTS of any of the money you give goes to the original Studio.

Also, for nyaa.se the blue torrents are A+ quality rating, green is trusted, and red is like remakes. White is just there. Color coding help.

If more of them had English subs I'd buy them straight from Japan.

Well that's different. I'm talking about the people who act like it's one of the worst things you could do. I prefer torrenting because I can get it when it comes out and it can sit on my computer till I feel like watching it and I constantly see it so I won't forget and I don't have to worry about internet connection when I do watch it. Not that internet connection is usually a problem, torrenting is just more convenient imo.

And this may sound a little disconnected from the situation, but "supporting" anime with my money is not something I'm interested in doing. I like to support other things with what little money I have. I don't consider myself enough of an anime fan to justify spending $50 on a series, rather than buying $50 worth of comics or movies. And tbh anime is probably the thing I dl the least. Not judging you for what you support, just saying I don't see it that way.

And there's nothing stopping you from torrenting something and buying it. There's no need to swear off watching a movie because it might come out some day. But again, do what you want.
