I buy my games from 3 main places. For computer games, I buy on Steam. Regular games, I go to Gamer's Clique since their buying/selling ratio's are much better than Gamestop. And I only go to Gamestop for buying game cards like Steam cards, Riot points, and all the good stuff.
When I know I want something, and it has a preorder bonus that interests me - or I'm too lazy to wait for a game to be shipped - I buy at GameStop. These incidents are rare and comprise roughly 10% of my purchases. The rest are through eBay or Steam. Except for a small percentage which I buy online directly from the developer; though I do try to take that option whenever I find someone self-published.
For me it's Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop, Ebay and Walmart only if there is a game I really want and I just happen to be close to the store.
Pretty much only online anymore or digital downloading. So, Steam, Origin, GAME, Amazon most all the time.
Wherever I can buy it cheapest. Usually Amazon. If the price+shipping would be the same as buying the game in a store, I go to Best Buy.
I usually get my games at a store nearby that sells WAY cheaper than Gamestop used and has a much better policy. If it's a game I know I really want when it comes out, I preorder at gamestop. Everything else I get at Best Buy, including consoles because they offer the best warranty without much hassle.
Steam, Humble Bundle, Amazon, Gamestop, and whichever retailer's having a really good discount (like Toys R Us having Injustice at 50% off when it just came out)
There used to be a GameStop within walking distance of my home, so I would usually pre-order games there and pick them up on my way back from school. However, since it moved, I tend to stick to ordering off of Amazon. There are those rare occasions when a trip to Target ends in my ownership of a new title, but that doesn't happen nearly as much as it used to.
Anywhere they sell games, really. It's not a bad idea to explore around a bit for you never know what you may find. (But my main buying games thing is from Steam and a local game/book/comics shop)
It really depends for me. For imports I generally try to see if I can get them from Play Asia as they've got good shipping times, but for the older games that aren't available there, and old games in general, I tend to go to Amazon for them. If I'm really desperate then I'll go and get a game from eBay, but I try to avoid eBay and Paypal a lot really. For newer releases I rend to go to GameStop, but I don't buy many new games that often.
I buy my games like most people do. Go out to Gamestop/ EB Games and get the hard copy. I much prefer it that way too. If its PC Gaming then I either play the F2P MMOs or I just use Steam to buy something. Every now and again I will download something through the eShop or LIVE market place but thats not often.
Gamestop mostly. However, if I really am too lazy to go out to gamestop to find a game, I just surf amazon and find the best deal for the game I want. Heck, I'll even use ebay.
