Kingdom Hearts II Where did Riku's new keyblade come from?

Mabey he just decided he needed a new keyblade and he made a new one.

 

But Way to Dawn and Soul Eater have some similar designs only that Way to Dawn MIGHT be the keyblade form of Soul Eater.

 

Acctually Soul Eater was a keyblade...well the game said it was anyway.

 

Then Soul Eater must changed into Way to Dawn when Riku took "The twilit path engulfed in dawn" in CoM, that's what DiZ said, he said that Riku took that path and that must be the reason why Soul Eater is now Way to Dawn, why it was still Soul Eater in KHII, I think it's because it takes time.

 

Soul Eater pretty much transformed along with Riku as he took his path from Twilight to the Dawn. It was normal all through KH2 and may have been altering after LoD that we don't see but is near complete when he encounters the others in TWTNW. He was coming out of the Darkness and the blade was altering along with him. Either it was finished before or completed after he was hit with Ansem's blast. I doubt encountering his friends had anything to do with it so much as it was just a symbolic metamorphosis in both Riku's spirit and the Soul Eater sword as he was coming to the completion of his journey to Dawn.

Soul Eater never really disappeared and changed to WttD. We just did not 'see' the transformation it was undergoing. At least as far as I recall. Way to the Dawn is definitely Soul Eater as even in the form of Way to the Dawn, at the near end of the game Riku calls it Soul Eater if you click on him at I believe the Altar of Naught.

Oh I always thought that the "heartshower" caused that. Oh and Repliku, are you sure he calls it Soul Eater?

 

Yep, I'm sure. He says it towards the end of the game when Sora has to make his choice to go on and fight Xemnas or not on I think the Alter of Naught. He doesn't say it aloud though. You click on him to read his response while you lurk there.

Yeah, that's where it was. I knew it was at the end but couldn't place it exactly. You just have to click on him after everyone is just standing around there and he calls it Soul Eater despite it is Way to the Dawn at that point. Thanks for finding the exact area. :)

I think it came from the darkness. In KH Re:COM, he says that he wants to follow the way to the down. I'm not really sure about that

 

Well Kairi's keyblade came from darkness, so his obviously did too, right?

I think i know why.
Riku is still using Soul Eater,but with a keychain called Way to Dawn.
I know,it's kinda stupid but since he can "make" Keyblades i think it's possible.

 

Wow. That's pretty good thinking. Why didn't I think of that...nobody answer that.

 

Maybe because Xehanort was using Riku's body as a vessel at one point in time , that Riku inherited that keyblade .

Because it looks very similar to the one Master Xehanort is carrying ( The bald guy ) , and if the modern day Xehanort and the Past time Xehanort are connected somehow . . . then that may be the key .

 

Well the Way to the Dawn Keyblade is being used at the Keyblade Wars by Aqua.

 

maybe he prolly just added another chain to his last keyblade i think he shoulda kept the one from kh 1
