Kingdom Hearts II Where did Riku's new keyblade come from?

I think his keyblade changes when his heart (evil or good) changes like when he was evil he had soul eater and when he change good his keyblade transformed into way to the dawn

 

Rikus keyblade is kinda like Soul Eater but with his change in the path that he follows its changed with him to become alittle more full of light

thus Way to the Dawn

 

Maybe the Way to Dawn Keyblade is just Soul Eater just transform to a better version.

 

These are all really good guesses. Even though Heartless* pulled my leg, :sneaky1: that is still a possability. Mickey giving Riku the keyblade...hmmm...I mean they were already tight, right? Hmmm... :sly:

 

I bet darkness created the keyblade for him.Because he is kind of dark inside.So I was thinking that is where he got it.

The exact method was not shared. I would not recommend theorizing about it just yet, as I am certain BbS will go into the creation of the Keyblades, sharing enough info for us to assume how soul eater is changed.

 

As said, Riku is a Keyblade wielder and even though the Kingdom Key in the end of KH chose Sora, Riku still was not just an ordinary person. Soul Eater transformed to Way to the Dawn because of Riku's connection with the weapon. It may have been possible Soul Eater was WttD in the past because the Keyblade is seen in the past too, but reverted to a sword after the Keybladers of BBS fell. Maleficent gave Riku Soul Eater at the beginning of KH when he was sent to Hollow Bastion and he had it throughout the game and the others. As he gained more power and did his path to the dawn, the weapon changed with him. Ansem's final act probably encouraged the final transformation when Riku was restored to normal.

 

But that can't be because he had Way to the Dawn when he faught Saix and when he faught the heartless with Kairi.

 

I know but he didn't really use it as a full blown Keyblade it seemed till after he changed back to normal.

 

Well that's true. Before the "Heartshower" he just blocked and thrust with it.

 

but that may be because its just how he decided to fight at the time it may be hard for xehanorts heatlesses body to move like that (remember he normally just fought with his heartless guard when he wasn't on his space-ship thing

 

Oh yeah! Good point. Mabey he didn't want to destroy the heartless too. Remember, if he destroyed the heartless then Kingdom Hearts would because whole faster.

 

He seemed to destroy Heartless just fine. I just always thought of it as a weapon that changed as Riku did since it is called 'Way to the Dawn' and Riku was on the path of Twilight to the Dawn, so once he reached the 'dawn' which was turning back to himself, the Keyblade would have been whole with him. I could be wrong but he really didn't do anything 'keybladish' before that even though the Soul Eater was clearly changing since it was normal in LoD.

 

OOOH WAIT, i think i got it! i think it changed when Riku came into contact with Kairi!

 

Wow! I never thought of that! I mean Riku always did like Kairi and when he met Kairi in the Castle That Never Was, Soul Eater mysteriously dissapeared and Way to the Dawn took it's place.

 

no I think as he fought in the relm of darkness it became stronger and once riku found his place in between light and dark and began fighting to protect kairi in TWTNW it changed

 

I can pretty much say this:
Its Soul Eater combined with the keyblade Riku has supose to have, making Way to Dawn.

 

I heard Riku had the power to use it after the end of chain of memories but since he was in the form of Xehanorts heartless he was unable to use the way to dawn (i think)
