well... I thought about making a Riku fanfic so here is chapter one. NOTE: all of the chapters are in THIS thread.

When Darkness Turns to Light


Chapter 1
A young boy could be seen sitting on a dock with his feet draped over the side. A gust of wind blew his silver hair into his deep blue eyes. He brushed it aside and resumed thinking.

So much has happened since Sora and I have come back. I can’t even believe we went away. But we had to, still it seems like a dream

“Riku,” called another boy as he ran up. This young boy had blue eyes too but he had spiky brown hair.

“Hey Sora,” said Riku “What is it?”

“ Nothing,” he said.

Sora sat down beside Riku and looked out at the ocean. Suddenly another young boy ran up and tackled Sora. They both wrestled for a moment rolling closer and closer to the edge.

“ Watch out for the-”

Suddenly the boy and Sora fell over the edge and there was a splash. Water sprayed onto the dock. Riku ran over and peered over the side. The boys came up sputtering.

” ROXAS,” Sora yelled punching the boy.

Riku laughed. Sora looked up and stuck his tongue out. Riku, still laughing, held out a hand for them. Sora and Roxas looked at each other, nodded, then grabbed Riku’s hand and pulled. Riku flipped over the side and into the water. He came up sputtering too.

He looked at his drenched clothes and growled, “ Sora….Roxas!!”

The boys looked at each other.

“ RUN,” they both yelled.

They scrambled to the shore and took off running, kicking up sand behind them. Sora fell but quickly righted himself. Riku laughed and started to chase them. The three ran in circles for a while before they heard a voice.

“ Boys are crazy said the voice.

“ Uh huh,” agreed another voice.

The three stopped and turned. They saw two girls walking up, laughing.

“ And what is so funny,” Sora asked putting his hands on his hips.

At this the girls and the other boys burst out laughing. Sora grinned and walked over to them.

“ Hi Kairi,” he said addressing the young brunette.

“ Hi Namine,” he said to turning to the blonde.

Kairi had on a pink dress and Namine had on a white one.

Kairi blushed a little, “ Hi Sora,” they both said in unison.

When Namine saw Roxas she blushed. “ Hi Roxas,” she said timidly.

“ Hi,” he said.

He tried to walk over to her but he tripped and fell. Namine giggled when she saw Roxas sprawled in the sand. Riku shook his head.

“ You are in love with Namine,” said Riku looking at Roxas,” Admit it.”

Roxas jumped up and blushed,” N-No I’m n-not!!”

Sora laughed at him,” Yes you are.”

Roxas looked at Sora.

“ Yeah well you love Kairi,” he said triumphantly.

Sora's eyes got wide,” T-that’s n-not t-true,” he stuttered.

Then he blushed. Both the girls looked like tomatoes because they were blushing so hard. Riku laughed at them.

“ Come on I’ll race you to the islet,” he said grinning.

He took off running.

“ No fair,” said Sora,” You got a head start.”

Roxas took off right behind Riku.

“ Hey,” yelled Sora.

He ran after them. The girls just walked behind them holding hands.

 

Good start!!! Just try to seperate paragraphs when people are talking that way it doesn't look like a jumble of words. Other than that awsome!

 

what do you mean, give me an example please and I will edit it.

 

Kinda like this:

Like that just so we know who's talking to who. Seperating the paragraphs when a different person starts to talk or think.

Chapter 2

They were all at the islet. Sora was laying on the tree next to Kairi who was sitting on the tree. Namine and Roxas were sitting beside them. Riku was leaning against the tree, his arms folded. They all watched the sunset. Sora sighed and sat up.

“ Its nice to all be together again,†Sora said smiling.

Suddenly Riku jumped up and summoned his keyblade.

“ Someone dual me,†he said grinning.

Roxas jumped up and so did Sora. Without even talking Roxas sat down to let Sora go first. Sora grinned and jumped off the tree. He summoned his key and charged. Riku laughed and blocked it. Sparks flew as their keyblades met again and again. Finally they started to tire. Sora charged again but instead of blocking it Riku stepped out of the way. Sora flew over the edge, but Riku grabbed his hand before he fell.

“ I win,†said Riku smiling.

He pulled Sora up. Roxas jumped up.

“ My turn,†he said.

While he was still in the air he summoned both his keyblades and brought them down on Riku’s. He blocked them. The boys got faster and faster until they were a blur. Riku laughed out loud and swung his keyblade at Roxas’s head but at the last second he hit the back of his knees and made Roxas fall. Riku let his keyblade rest on Roxas’s collarbone. Roxas rolled his eyes.

“ Alright you win now let me up,†said Roxas.

Riku dismissed his key and Roxas got up, dismissing his too.

“ Look what I have,†said Kairi.

She pulled out 5 candy bars.

Kairi smiled, “ Lets eat,†she said.

They ate the candy bars.

“ Roxas are you ok,†asked Namine giggling.

Roxas’s eyes were really wide and he was bouncing up and down.

“ Oh no,†said Riku,†It’s a sugar rush.â€

Roxas ran around in circles screaming “ I’M A WILDABEAST, FEAR ME!!!!!!â€

Finally he stopped.

“ Awww…Its over,†he sighed.

“ We should go home its getting late,†said Kairi.

They nodded and walked to the boats.

“ Ok we will meet here tomorrow morninight,†said Riku.

“ Right,†everyone else said. “Bye!â€

Ha ha ha! Sugar rush! awsome! and update means post the next chapter ^.-

 

No offense, but this isn't to my taste. The style is good enough. The length is a bit short. To be perfectly honest there isn't much wrong with your writing itself. It's more that no main idea has shown itself and that I'm not into the storyline having Roxas and Sora coexisting(same for Kairi and Namine.) Not that it's a problem though. I just don't see that. Otherwise it's good. I'd like to see more.

Chapter 3
Riku sat alone on the tree. It was dark but there was a full moon. He sighed and closed his eyes everything is how it should be…the island….my friends….everything.. everything is….perfect He fell asleep on the tree and had a strange dream.

He saw himself as a boy, playing with Sora and Kairi, then he saw himself as he was before he opened the door to darkness, then he saw himself hanging out with everyone, suddenly a white light appeared and a voice spoke,†All that you know is at an end.â€

Riku sat up breathing hard and sweating.

“It was only a dream…wow 1:00 in the morning, I had better get home.â€

He ran to his boat and cast off. When he got home he climbed up the ivy on the side of his house and slipped through his open window into his bedroom. He walked over to his bed and fell onto it. He closed his eyes and went to sleep.

†Riku you lazy boy get up,†yelled his mom.

Riku groaned and turned over.

“ I’m counting to five,†she said shrilly.

“1!!!!â€

“2!!!!!!!â€

Riku sighed and rolled out of bed.

“ 3!!!!!!!!!â€

He put some clean clothes on.

“ 4!!!!!!!!!!â€

Riku brushed his teeth and ran downstairs.

“5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!â€

Riku laughed when he saw his mother. She had her hands on the doorframe, her head tilted up, and her face looked like a cherry.

†I’m right here mom chill out,†he said.

“ Don’t use that tone with me young man,†she said putting her hands on her hips.

“ I’m leaving now bye!!,†he yelled as he ran outside.

He ran all the way to the dock and got in his boat. He started to row towards the island .As he climbed out of his boat he noticed that his friends boats were already there. That’s strange….normally I am the first one here....oh welll He walked around trying to find his friends but he could not find them. He grew more and more alarmed until finally he thought duh the islet..how could I be so stupid He ran to the shack, up the stairs, and across the boardwalk. He gasped when he saw his friends. They were laying at the feet of a man, but not just any man. Riku knew this man because he had seen his picture, he hated this man, it was his fault that everything bad happenedin the first place.

“Xeahnort,†he said through gritted teeth.

Nice. This one is more how I'd like it. Now that the stories direction is established I like it a lot better. To be honest I don't like extra exposition . You write well enough. Now I'm excited. Well, keep it up and don't expect any sugar coating from me. Though you can expect me to be general. So I'll see what you've got later. Bye.

Chapter 4
Xeahanort laughed and grabbed Namine and Kairi. “ PUT THEM DOWN,†yelled Riku. He summoned his Way to Dawn keyblade and pointed it at the him. Xeahanort laughed again. “ I don’t think you understand the gravity of this situation,†he said. He summoned two swords and pointed them at Kairi’s and Namine’s throats. Riku froze. He scowled and dismissed his weapon. “Let them go,†said Riku. “ I think that I will keep them for a while, we will have so much fun together ,†Xeahnort said smiling.†NO!!!,†shouted Sora and Roxas in unison. They got up slowly and summoned their keyblades. Xeahnort knocked them aside and sent them skidding towards Riku. He opened a portal and was gone.†NO!!!!,†shouted Riku. He lunged but it was too late. They were gone. “Where did they go,†asked Roxas. “ To a place we know all too well,†said Riku hanging his head. Roxas’s eyes got wide. “ You mean the realm of darkness,†he said shocked. “ THE REALM OF DARKNESS!!!,†shouted Sora as he got up. Riku nodded. “ Well how do we rescue them,†asked Sora.†To get to the realm of darkness you need to let the darkness into you,†Roxas said. “ How do we do that,†asked Sora worriedly. “ Just think about how much you hate Xeahnort,†said Riku. Sora thought hard and suddenly black flames encircled him. “ Keep doing it think how much you hate him, let the hatred take over,†said Riku. “ What about you guys,†said Sora as the flames got higher. “ We already have the darkness,†said Riku. He turned to Roxas and nodded. Black flames engulfed them. The flames engulfed Sora and he was in darkness. He blinked and looked around. Riku and Roxas were there. Riku walked over and opened a portal. Sora gasped as he looked around. Riku had his blindfold on and his organization coat on and Roxas had his on too. As he looked down he realized that he had one on too. Roxas took out a blindfold and put it on. Riku handed one to Sora. Sora took it and looked at it then at Riku. “ Put it on, your eyes can’t lie and the enemy will take advantage of that,†he said tying it around Sora’s eyes. “ I can’t see anything,†he said putting his hands up. “ You see with your heart,†said Roxas,†And I can see with my half of your heart.†Sora sighed and closed his eyes. Then he opened them and gasped again. He could see. Everything was black but he could see shapes and stuff like that. “ I can see,†he said shocked. Riku chuckled and stepped through the portal. Roxas and Sora stepped through too. They appeared in Radiant Gardens. Riku walked down the steps. We need information about Xeahanort and a lot of it. “Um, Riku where are we going,†asked Sora as he walked down the steps. Riku shushed him and pulled up his hood. Roxas pulled his up too. Sora followed in suit. Riku led them through the town when all of the sudden Sora stopped. “Ok is it just me or are heartless following us,†he said a little worried. Riku laughed and put his hand to the back of his neck rubbing it uncomfortably. “ Oh I forgot to tell you, now that you are part of the dark you can summon heartless,†Riku said, laughing nervously. “ OH YEAH CAUSE THAT IS SUCH A SMALL LITTLE DETAIL,†Sora shouted. Roxas snickered quietly from under his hood then resumed thinking. “Calm down Sora its nothing to throw a fit over,†said Riku. Sora muttered to himself and then continued walking in a stony silence. Riku led them through the town until they reached the Borough. “State your purpose,†said a familiar voice. Squall Leonheart jumped off of the crane, his gunblade in his hand. “We are friends,†said Riku calmly. “Then why do you wear the coats of the late Organization 13,†he asked sternly. “Don’t you remember me, Leon,†asked Sora discouraged. Leon looked puzzled, â€How do you know my name?†Sora pulled down his hood and stood there with his arms open. “Do you remember now,†he asked again. “SORA,†said a very confused Leon. Sora nodded and then pulled his hood up again. Riku put a gloved hand to his lips. “We need to attract as little attention as possible, by the way I am a friend of Sora’s and so is he,†he said moioning to Roxas. Leon nodded. “Well I guess we should go to Merlin’s house,†Leon said. He turned and walked to the house with Riku, Roxas, and Sora trailing behind him.

CHAPTER 5

The heavy wooden door creaked as it slowly opened. Yuffie, Cid, Areith, and the others turned to see who was coming in. Yuffie gasped as she saw the coated figures behind Leon. “Leon behind you!!†Yuffie ran at the closest one and gave him a solid kick in the chest that sent him flying into the wall. Sora’s hood flew off as he collided with the wall. He groaned and slumped down. “Yuffie didn’t you recognize him, that’s Sora,†said Leon. “Oops,†said Yuffie. She ran over to Sora and bent down. “Hehehe, sorry about that,†she said laughing nervously. Roxas and Riku helped Sora up and supported him. “Its ok,†said Sora, wincing as he was helped up. “Wow Sora….you’ve changed…..a lot,†Areith said quietly. Riku took this opportunity to step forward. “We need all of your information on Xeahnort,†he said. “Why,†Yuffie asked. She stood up with a puzzled look on her face. Sora grew serious. “Because I will hunt him down and kill him,†he said venomously. Yuffie drew back, her eyes widening.†Wow, Sora, I’ve never heard you talk like that, what happened,†she asked, concerned. Riku looked at Roxas and nodded. Roxas took Sora outside to let him cool down.†And that’s what happened,†finished Riku gravely. “That is horrible, where did he take them,†asked Areith. Riku lowered his head. “Well we think he took them to the realm of darkness,†he said softly. “Well I have a solution,†said Yuffie. She picked up a shurikun. “We will just go and get them,†she said cheerfully. “Don’t you get it, we have no idea where they are,†he yelled at Yuffie. “Well sitting on your butt won’t help, come on,†she said. She grabbed his hand and ran out the door. Roxas almost fell over as they sped out the door. Sora and Roxas looked at each other, shrugged, and then took off in pursuit.

CHAPTER 6

Riku stood in awe.

“Wow….that is a lot of files,†he said.

Riku and Yuffie were standing in front of Ansem’s computer. Riku was still gawking at it when Sora and Roxas ran in. They both leaned up against the wall, panting hard.

â€Wow…running in a dress is hard,†said Sora, standing up.

“Its not a dress it’s a cloak,†said Roxas indignantly.

“Whatever.â€

Riku walked over to them, took a handful of hair on each of their heads and banged them together, “FOCUS GUYS,†said Riku.

Roxas and Sora nodded, whimpering and rubbing their heads. Riku walked back over and began to open each of the files, studying them carefully.

3 hours later

Sora and Roxas sat back to back, leaning against each other, sound asleep. Riku still stood at the computer but his shoulders were slumped and he looked exhausted. He closed the last file and sighed, slumping down to the floor.

“Finally I’m done,†he said.

He closed his eyes and rested his head on the desk. Suddenly a voice yelled right into his ear, â€WAKE UP SLEEPY HEAD!!!†Riku jumped and his eyes shot open.

“Owww….Yuffie I wasn’t asleep,†he said holding his ears.

Sora and Roxas fell and woke up. They jumped up and grinned sheepishly.

â€Well how was I supposed to know with that blindfold on all the time,†said Yuffie.

She snatched the blind fold from his eyes and ran to the other side of the room with it. Riku squinted and rubbed his eyes. When he put his hands down Yuffie grew quiet.

“What,†asked Riku.

“Nothing….your eyes are just……cool,†she said fumbling with her words.

She threw him the blindfold back and ran out of sight.

“My eyes are…..cool,†said Riku puzzled.

He shrugged and turned to Sora and Roxas.

“Lets go guys…I think I know where he is,†said Riku, tying the blindfold on again and walking out.

Roxas followed Riku, but Sora stayed back.

“You will find them,†said a voice. Sora looked around, clearly puzzled.

“oh come on don’t tell me you have forgotten about me,†the voice said indignantly.

“T-Tron?â€

“Yes?â€

“How am I going to find them,†said Sora discouraged.

“just trust your heart….NOW GET GOING,†he shouted.

Sora jumped and nodded. He ran to the door way but stopped a turned.

“Thanks Tron,†he said.

“Your welcome.â€

Sora ran out and joined Riku and Roxas.
