what's with all these "keep calm and..." posters?

is there some joke I don't know about?

either way they're dumb and I don't like them.

I've always thought of it as a joke on "stop, drop and roll."

 

It originates from a war-time propaganda campaign. The original slogan is 'keep calm and carry on'.

 

and people have been making spin-off/joke posters for it since like 2008 or 2009. the joke is so gosh dang old and overdone.

at first they were fun, then they got overused and annoying.

 

I never found them that fun tbh

I usually don't rag on anyone's humor but it seems like a really uninspired way to cash in on a reference without any sort of context or comedic timing

Like even when I see one related to something I like I go "Ok that's nice, your point?"

 

I beg to differ.

And his hair! It just doesn't stop! It's like "whoaaa..."

And that chin!

And "look at me, I'm wearing a Bowtie!"

 

That may be the worst episode title in that whole series.

 

The reason I ask is because someone made a one that says "Keep calm and band geek 4 lyfe" in my ap study room. Thats right, lyfe. That's not a typo.
