Too late.

Jak & Daxter was glorious. My first PS2 game.

 

first one amazing, second one meeeeh, third one amazing.

My personal opinion.

I didnt like grand theft daxter is all.

 

Second one is hard. It remains one of two games that I've yet to beat due to difficulty not caused by broken mechanics. The other is Demon Souls. I do love the other two in the trilogy though. [/ignoring all non trilogy games]

 

Go to 4-1. Farm skeleton souls. Rinse and repeat a large number of times.

 

I'm past that (though I did that for a while) now I farm a reaper in 4-2. I got stuck with the 3-2 boss mainly, maneater I think it was called? Once the second shows up I can't get an attack in without getting maimed.

 

Got it on release day. Not that HD.

 

Used to have the same opinion on the games. However, Jak 2 has grown a lot on me and I keep liking it more and more. There should be more difficult platformers, without them being casual stuff like IWTBTG or Super Meatboy.

The original is still by far the best game though, despite how short it is.

 

It may not hold up as well as Sly Cooper, but I still think it looks good.

 

I played these so much when I was young. Unfortunately I've yet to beat Jak II, but Jak & Daxter was lovely. Stupid Crimson Guard 8(

 

Jak 2 hard? Say whaaaaaat, there is only one frustrating part of that game, and f'uck it might actually be in Jak3, when Daxter gets hooked onto the rocket and you need to control the thing, fuuuuuck that mini game.

 

That is in 3, one of my favorite minigames actually.

I I've gotten in 2 is Tomb of Mar. I don't know why that boss is so hard for me but I can't quite get passed it. But I just felt like general difficulty on that game was really high. Lack of ways to heal likely being a large factor. And turrets. I hate turrets.

 

Speaking of mail, I got these two weird e-mails on Windows Live Mail from someone named Sammy Lax with links.

Making Sly cell-shaded was a very good choice, it just looks extremely pleasant. Even the original game looks great, I'm a bit iffy about the artstyle of the new game though, but I'll wait before coming to a conclusion on it.

Most people agree that Jak 2 was hard, I recall Naughty Dog getting a lot of flack because quite a few people were not able to even finish the game.

That mini game was pretty fun, I thought :(

 

Should be grinding at the Storm King archstone because a male character can get like 20k souls per visit and a female character can get like 25k with the right equipment. It may be hard to get past the seethroughs and shit but the Old Hero is dead simple to beat since he's literally blind and only responds to being attacked or you being a loud motherfucker. Beating Man Eater is more tedious than hard if you do it right. And by right I mean either cheating using online play or betting a really high DPS set up with the cheap ass strength faith build and a claymore or if you've got it the Meat Cleaver which is objectively the strongest weapon in the game. I actually beat it once by cheating and once with a magic tank. But the magic tank works better in NG+.

 

I think the success of the game will depend on the controls. Sly Cooper has some of the best platforming ever created. The perfect weight and response to any platforming game I have ever played. If they can't replicate it, the game won't be as good, no matter how great the graphics are, or how interesting the story is.

 

Oh definitely. It should be good though, considering how the Sanzaru guys seem to be fans of the original trilogy, as well as Sucker Punch overseeing things.
