What's the scariest game that you have ever played?

...If you ever played any? Mine is... To be honest, I don't know what to pick. So I'll just pick my favorite horror game which is Amnesia:The Dark Descent... I chose this game because of the atmosphere and since it's in a first person perspective, it makes you fee like you're hopeless when you're hiding in the shadows, waiting for the monster/s to leave while you do either: 1. Pray to god that the monster doesn't notice you or 2. Take a dump in your pants (P.S. Sorry about that). Although the downsides... Sometimes the voice acting sounds off depending on the situation, and the story is so confusing at first. Just imagine playing this using Oculus Rift?! o_O

 

Fatal Frame games were always the scariest as a child.

 

Now that... I would even shudder thinking about the Fatal Frame series. Especially the 2nd one.

 

Dead space 1 was the scariest game I have played in my happy life
The monsters were disgusting
They would attack u out of nowhere
Your alone
And it's dark

 

I usually avoid horror games, but off the top of my head I'd say F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin.

 

The only scary games i've really played. (Only scary as a child) Majora's mask, not even scary anymore.
Scary maze game. After the first time, you just laugh at the butt A** ugly face.
And Eternal darkness: Sanity's requiem, That game just... ugh, makes me limp after playing it a little, but i only played it during my younger ages, and eventually got rid of it.

 

SCP Containment Breach, followed closely by Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

I hate being completely unable to fight back, as well as the first-person perspective. Containment Breach has unique enemies too, who act differently from each other (I hate 106 the most though, walking through walls and such.) And I just love the way Amnesia gets under your skin without even showing anything.

I still love Silent Hill 1-3, but they no longer scare me so much as simply fascinate me.

The first, you're in essentially an IRON MAN suit with laser guns. The second, you're a bad ass soldier with bullet time.

It really isn't designed to be scary though. There's some stuff, I guess, but really no more than many other sci-fi shooters of the era.

 

Haunting Ground or Fatal Frame 2
one of the Silent Hill games is up there
as well as the remake of the original Resident Evil

 

Haunting Ground is ****ing terrifying, that maid with the broken glass, or the ****ing invisible guy. I swear to god if it wasn't for your dog Hewie I'd break down into tears.

 

Hewie is a lifesaver. If he wasn't in there, the game would be banned from stores for causing players to go clinically insane.

Also, Siren Blood Curse is pretty horrifying as well.

I get scared really easily, and I am one of the most . . . paranoid people, ever. It's a really paralyzing thing. Shit popping out of places, no fucking thank you. F.E.A.R and maybe Silent Hill 2. ( There was this one fucking part in BioShock, in the Medical Pavilion that I screamed for like, five fucking seconds straight, and then cried myself to sleep about. )

 

I honestly can't remember the scariest game I ever played. The last game I play (and not watched on YouTube) that scared me was Resident Evil 4 and that was years ago.
