Considering the existence of the elder wand has been kept from modern society for generations and only known to other wizards which in this example don't exist.

The guy who killed the first owner of the Elder Wand did it while the guy was sleeping. It doesn't say how in the book, but in the movie he uses a knife - a muggle weapon.

Muggles are just as smart as wizards- hell, a lot of them are probably smarter. So, if one was clever and sneaky enough, it is entirely possible for a muggle to kill a wizard, even one with the Elder Wand.

And failing intelligence or subterfuge, I'd like to see how well 'Protego' would stand up to a rocket launcher.

Just because I'd have the Elder Wand, doesn't mean I'd also have the rest of the Harry Potter universe as well. You're talking about taking fictional things and putting them into a non-fictional world. You can't go by what happened in the books. It would be pretty hard to hide the existence of a magical wand in our society. The only way I could is if I only used it in my house, and then there wouldn't be much use for it. I would base the rest of my life off of how different things would be if I had my wand with me in places that I couldn't use it. I couldn't use it any where but my house. If the government found out I had it, they would try and take it from me, and one guy, even with a powerful wand can't fight off the entire army, marines, navy and air force.

Do you honestly think that people will ever believe in magic? Even if it's right in front of them? People automatically try to find the most logical explanation for anything that may seem "odd" hence the reason why when you hear noise in your house your first instinct is "Who is it? Nobodies home so it must be the house settling in" and that's the end of that. Nobody ever comes to the conclusion "can't explain it, must have been magic".

 

I would choose the Elder Wand, without a doubt. It combines the powers of most of the others in one.

All religions except for Scientology have theological explanations for almost all supernatural occurrences.
The only things that are literally "because God willed it" are miracles in Christian religion and even then miracles are explained as only possible when the people in the area believe in the miracle (hence the reason why Jesus couldn't perform miracles in his hometown of Nazareth)

I said that most everything in Christianity has a theological explanation
Witchcraft, sorcery, demonology and all that all stem from the desire to be like God which came from Adam and Eve and the temptation to do evil which comes from Satan.
The so called "witches" were displaying actions the Puritans had defined as sinful. It was never "If you see someone shoot a lazer out their eyes then they are a witch" but rather "If you see someone doing actions 1 through 5 then they are a witch"
