I've never heard of D. Grayman.

Personally I like fruits basket because the storyline tends to relate to me.

Oh yeah, then there's Kyo. I like him. A lot.

Yeah.....fear me the Fruits Basket..................fangirl XD 'tis a guilty pleasure of mine

I mentioned it a few times on the site

I think what I like abut it, as I've said before, is because of it's innocence. The show stays optomistic, despite all the problems that go on. I suppose it can be seen as an escape from real life. Plus it's pretty comical as well.

    I haven't heard of D Grayman either...

I haven't heard of D. Greyman either, but as my brother is obsessed with Fruits Basket I like it also. I like it because, although it has a mythological based storyline, it is very down to earth in the situations people are put in. But, at the same time as it being morose and depressing, it is light-hearted and full of optimism (then there's Shigure, and he is well......Shigure XD).

Although I do think that in some ways the Fruits Basket manga is better, but shush >_>'

I see... so THAT'S why one of my friends is so obsessed with it... But this doesn't explain the ridiculous explosion of D. Grayman-ness I'm seeing everywhere!! AUUUUGH!!! Where's the justice? Where!?

    I'm not interested in D.Grayman
But I gotta tell you,Fruits Basket is one of the most popular mangas in America
    "Best Shoujo Manga".

It's one of the few mangas that has ever made me cry :/

It has a great story and lots of drama.

Fruits Basket is awesome! There are many characters that are all unique and you just got to love them. The story is clearly original and it's really dramatic at points too.

I liked Fruits Basket the manga but not so much the animation. The manga goes much more into depth and involves so many more characters. I was also disappointed that Rin isn't in the anime since I'm born in the year of the horse =/

    SPELL IT RIGHT! *shovel'd*

Well, I don't know about Fruits Basket seeing as I thought it was weird after looking at it for, say...ten seconds? But seeing as I'm a D.Gray-man fanatic I think I have a pretty darn good answer.

Sadism. I say that right off the bat. The manga has a really awesome way of taking this really naive character and throwing him into some really kinky, sadistic situations, which break him of his innocence about five minutes. It also has a kinda "The Grudge"-ish feel with some of the Noah, namely Road Kamelot, who looks to be about eleven but kills people for fun and finds people nailed to the wall really hot. (Bondage much?)

Anyway, although the first few chapters or episodes seem kinda shallow, the later chapters (I prefer the manga, personally) really get you involved in the whole plotline; dropping you from almost euphoric fan-people highs to lows that make you want to cry like a little baby. It's really hard to explain, actually...but once you get past the total gross-out factor of Allen's arm, you'll find that it's absolutely addictive in every way possible.

Yeah, and um...cult-like, as well. My friends and I have had multiple funerals for characters...with lots of sobbing, death threats, giggles, and attempts at licking the headstone. xD
