What's Monty Python?

I've seen many people here discussing about Monty Python and i was wondering who and what he is. Also a few days ago i found in the dvd store, five or six of his movies (one of them was called "Monty Python and the holy grail). I was thinking of getting one but i' m not sure if it's worthy. Is it like "The black adder" ?

But Monty Python is a Comedic set of movies and an older show, it came from the UK I want to say sometime like the 70's or 80's. Most popularly recognized movie is Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which is an amazing movie, as well as, Now for Something Completely Different. The old show was Flying Circus. But go watch it, its very much slapstick comedy.

zomg dude definitely check them out! I personally like The Life of Brian (I rate it equal to the Holy Grail)

But definitely you should go watch some of their stuff, their comedy is classic an still has me in tears laughing now xDDDDDDDDD​

I believe Monty Python revolutionized the random humour. Or close to it.

Simply listen to "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts" and you'll get a relatively good idea of what Monty Python is.

 

Nothin' comes close to it now-a-days. It's still got all the right stuff.
