Well, since I am in this majorly sucky artblock (one that has lasted for what - almost an year by now? D<), I thought that maybe you guys wanted to see what I have at least drawn lately? These are all stuff I have drawn for where I am currently working, for them to have in their forms and gibberish like that, and all the references were found on google except for the last drawing where the reference was two of our own photos. Old man reading. Airplane. Buisness man. School children. I'll try to draw more fanart stuff, I swear.
I love your work coco. And here I thought you just played games at work >:3 But seriously, they look wonderful. I've seen the old guy before since you showed it to me a while back but those other ones are just as great. A big change from your usual GG and J&D drawings! Cant believe you only used a regular office pen.
Thanks guys. <3 I am a bit rusty when it comes to drawing realistic style, not what I used to have back in art school. And uhm, there's not much else I can use to draw in an office. X3 And I did play games during break until the laptop died. >>;;; I miss GGX2 compu style.. I however did use a copymachine to make the lineart black instead of blue and then made it more visible for the screen on photoshop. In the forms you'd have to shrink the drawings anyway, and it'd be near invinsible if I didn't do that.
Though I have zero experience in this style I'll try to keep away from the idiocy that is sure to ensue if I act like I know what I'm writing about. I liked the textures and shadows. Everything seems to actually follow those laws of physics and whatnot. I'm not sure if this is true but I feel that the school children scene could be slightly better if the angles on the building actually had a vanishing point to slope the roofs more harmoniously, but since this is a sketchier type style rather than a finished painting or something of that ilk the building wasn't as important since it wasn't the focal point to begin with. Even though he has his back to us I feel like the old man had the most personality out of all of them and though it was one of the simpler pieces it looks good and shows a stylized but paradoxically real kinda feel. Some other man was my favorite one overall because for me it basically epitomized everything I can't do and what the more realistic style should look like in general. I'm gonna stop it here because I feel like I've already said something stupid along the way and don't want to repeat that.
