The Keyblade changes depending on the keychain attatched, right? So what would it look like with out a keychain?

I've wonder if it's just an ordinary house key.XD

((Um, the keyblade would be weaker for one thing, otherwise I am very unsure what it'd look like...))

I've wondered that myself. Maybe the Kingdom Key keychain just appears out of nowhere on the hilt.

Not weaker. Most likely several times stronger. Terra, Aqua, and Ven don't use keychains. They're all confirmed to be stronger than Sora. If you've seen the Terra fights on youtube, it's obvious who has more power. Terra>Sora by a long shot.

The keyblade would probably take it's "truest" form. Keychains are more of an aid to draw the power out based on memories. Terra, Ven, and Aqua are probably so skilled that they don't need it. Or keychains were created at a later time(doubt it).

Then why did Master Xehanhort have a keychain and beat all of them?
    Where?
That may not be in fact Terra and even if it was that isn't a canon battle. I'd say Sora is only slightly weaker than Terra but that maybe since he hasn't trained with a master, but the two are almost the same power wise
So what about these two winners?

They were out numbered with your so called more powerful keyblades so how did they win?

Oh right. But Mickey was still in training at that time. And the two "winners" were Master Xehanort and his apprentice. Terra, Aqua, and Ven together were sent to find them. It'd make sense that'd baldy and black suit guy were more powerful. Well...at least Master Xehanort. He's called MASTER. Does that tell you anything? He's strong. It might be why Terra pushed Ven back when Ven was about to rush forwards. Either that or he holds a grudge against the two and wanted to be the first into battle.

And there was an interview...ages ago(I would've linked it if I remembered where it was) about Nomura comparing Sora's Final Form to...I think it was Ven. I dunno. It was so long ago. I know it's not bull but I clearly remember something that hinted at the fact that everyone in the trailer is pretty much stronger than Sora and company(excluding Mickey but he wasn't as powerful as he is in KH when you compare to BBS). Back to simple thing about Master Xehanort beating everyone...the best reason as to why he won was because he was just plain stroger. His apprentice didn't even do much to the three. Xehanort took out Ven, his (keyblade)storm knocked down Terra, and Aqua was beaten up a bit by both the storm and from fighting the dark soldier...apprentice...guy. Anyone noticing similarities to Star Wars?

I think that if there were no keychains, then there wouldn't be any new forms of the Keyblade. Cuz the keychains change the Keyblade based on memories of a certain thing, like for example, the Oathkeeper Keyblade. It was made from Sora's memories of the promise he made to Kairi and Kairi's good luck charm

Haha, I bet it would automatically revert to the training sword (what Sora was last using wen the Keyblade came about)

Which is odd if you think about it, since he had a key chain
    Right
    Right
    That's my point. You said...
And yet a master who beat them all still has a key chain. See the problem with that idea?

I'll search up on that one, I do remember something like that.
    Yeah

In the long run I thing key chains are only given once a person reaches master level (Excluding Sora and Mickey)
