New generation? So, do I start at this generation or do I start at the very beginning?

It wasn't that they was scary as such, but disturbing.

For God Complex, the concept of people being manipulated via their faith and beliefs is one that hits a bit close to home for me.

For Midnight, what was creepiest was that the 'villain' technically was not doing anything wrong at first- it revealed a lot about human nature that the other passengers were so quick to distrust and fear what they did not understand.

It's almost impossible to find the true beginning. Just start with this generation for now; it is what the people here love.

Yep. She's has her moments of true emotion, but there are also a nice amount of laughs in between.
    I know.

The 'old' series began in 1963 and had 26 seasons, finishing in 1989, plus one movie in 1996. The 'new' series started in 2005 and continues to the present, having just finished its 6th season.

I would advise watching the new series, unless you have a lot of patience and time for black-and-white, low budget episodes that are near impossible to get a copy of anyway. The new series will quickly bring you up to speed with the basics of the shows canon.

    My very first episode was "Age of steel" and I got seriously creeped out by the Cybermen, apart from that almost none of it has freaked me out ;-;

I really enjoyed that one episode with Eccleston when they were on the reality show? Also the one with the devil, I think those have been my favorite thus far. Scariest though is definitely the one with the kid wearing the gas mas (Lost Child? Lonely Child? Something like that).

    The Empty Child.

And that was one of my favorite Eccleston episodes, too.

The one with the devil is The Satan Pit and the one that everyone loves (Moffat...) is The Empty Child.

I don't know the name of the one where they were
trapped in Satellite 5 and its various game shows,
but it was one of my favorites as well.

Satan Pit scared the beejesus out of me as well, but in a good way.

Also I love that whenever they go to the dysfunctional future places (and there are humans) they're always in cargo pants and tank tops. xD It makes me giggle so much. And it's not just Doctor Who, it's like... pretty much any science fiction. Like OH YEAH, WE'RE SURVIVING, WE'RE STRONG, WE HAVE CARGOES.

Oh, same here. Satan Pit was just a very well-done two parter all around.

Oh god. Now and forever, that will be my image of human colonists. Then again, I never really paid much attention to the clothes because there was always an alien threat that was going to kill everyone. I guess I was always focused on the wrong thing. X3
