    Pointles? My butt.

COM is an after story of KH2, you just have to have it. Its storyline is flawless, and it starts out the Organization and the nobodys. It's basically the start of KH2.

I get it now. KH:CoM is a link, a bridge, between KH1 and KH2. But... I only played the PC version for about 5 minutes. During that time, Donald and Goofy was turned into cards. The only pointless things are...
    1. Sora forgetting everything
    2. Donald and Goofy turning into cards.
    And that's it.

First of all, Sora forgetting everything was like the whole plot, so it wasn't really pointless. Like I said, it pretty much intoduced Namine and Org members. And plus, it wouldn't be much of a game if he didn't.

The main point was that Sora learns the mysteries of his memories and also finds out about the Organization even though he doesn't remember in the end. Also was to explain in detail how Sora went from the Plain World at the end of Kingdom Hearts and into Twilight Town in Kingdom Hearts II. The point of the game also is to elude several hints about Nobodies, The Organization and "Ansem".

Just because you forget everything doesn't mean it's pointless. I suppose that there is loads that has happened to everyone that they forgot about but it wasn't pointless but I see where you're getting at.

Seriously, you think it was pointless!?! BLASPHEMY!! LOL, anyways, he had to forget everything about Kairi to meet Naminé. If he hadn't met her, then Kairi probably would never have been a whole person, and Roxas wouldn't have known about Sora, so he would've just dissapeared! Then KH2 would just be pointless. As you should already know, since Sora forgot about Kairi and his adventure in the first KH in the process of trying to rescue Naminé, all of his memories had to be torn apart and reconstructed again. He had to forget everything to remember everything. The story wasn't pointless. Could you have thought up a better story that took place over an entire year to bridge the gap between KH and KH2? I know I couldn't have.

I don't think it was pointless at all. It introduces Organization XIII and Namine, and the whole idea of Nobodies (Although they aren't really explained until KH2) Plus, the Reverse/Rebirth was extremely helpful to Riku's side of the story and catching up on what was happening with him. I think that KH2 would have been VERY confusing without CoM.
