What Video Game Made You Cry?

Persona 3's ending made me tear up big time. After getting so attached to the protoganist, it was hard as anything to even beat the game, let alone that ending...

Megaman Zero 4 did the exact same thing B| And I still can't play Megaman ZX or Megaman ZX Advent proprely BECAUSE of Z4's ending.

 

Came really close to it in Days with Xion's death and all, that pushed me close.
Then i made the mistake of watching the end scene in BBS about 10 minutes after. That pushed me over the edge, and i cried over a game.

/pity.

 

Pretty much every single game I have played with the exception of re:coded, FFXII and XIII. Hell, even Type-0 made me cry and I haven't even played it yet! Blame the opening cutscene.

 

I believe I cried at the first KH game. When Sora and Kairi are separated on those two islands. Yup.

 

Was type-0 released already? I'm hearing it was.

Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes
-Sniper Wolf's death
-Grey Fox getting crushed by REX
-Grey Fox's backstory and his wish that Snake not tell Naomi that is was him that killed her parents.
-Liquid's death(the last one). Yes he was a jerkass in the game but damnit. If you recall his backstory, he was pretty much just a son looking for his father's love/approval.[Of course, being LIED to your entire life makes one bitter.]

The ending to Metal Gear Solid 3. There's no way out of killing The Boss and the game makes you do it. The flower petals changing from white to red when it happens.


Metal Gear Solid 4. Multiple instances. The microwave tunnel[The screen splits. The top shows what is going on elsewhere, Raiden getting overtaken by Frogs, the Missouri overtaken by Scarabs, etc. And Snake is pulling himself along while his body is bombarded by microwaves]. Raiden getting crushed by Outer Haven and remembering when he first met Rose. Almost the entire ending. Raiden grabbing onto Snake's ankle, begging to go with him. Raiden is a man who has nothing to live for, Snake is a man with not much time left. ...How Raiden became a cyborg in the first place. Naomi's reaction and recollection of Frank upon seeing Raiden for the first time."This still happens..."

Final Fantasy VII and it's extensions. Vincent's backstory[or maybe I'm just a sap for tragic romance stories]. Seeing Sephiroth in Crisis Core as a normal(ish) guy and then remembering him in the original game and learning why he went off the deep end. Zack's death and knowing the effect i would have on Cloud for years. Lazard's death[he was a such a secondary character but...I dunno, I guess I liked him]. Genesis' degradation[Yes, he was annoying with LOVELESS but seeing him go from his mindset at the beginning of the game and then seeing him at the end struck a nerve. Also his facial reactions are some of the best, like his face in Banora when he says that he's a monster. He just seems...defeated somehow]. Zack having to kill Angeal. [I'm amazed I even completed Crisis Core.]

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night After you defeat Dracula. "Lisa, Forgive me. Farewell, my son."

Kingdom Hearts Playing KH2, seeing Saix regarding Axel as nothing more than a traitor then playing Birth by Sleep and seeing Isa and Lea as best friends, then playing Days and seeing their friendship falling to pieces as Axel chooses Roxas(whom Saix refers to as 'the Puppet' but it's better than what he calls Xion.) over the memories of their friendship.

-Steve's mutation and death
-Wesker's death. [Yes, he's supposed to be the bad guy and a heartless ******* but he was my favorite in the series.]

I would say the latest game that i have played that made me tear up , is FFIV , during the storyline. when

I'll admit I got a little teary eye on Zacks death in Crisis Core, but I just bawled out crying afterwords when I heard this:

Got a little choked up after the battle with Xion in Days. And again when images of her vanishing from Roxas's memory played on the lower screen before the battle with Riku. The way he talked to Roxas at that point demonized him for me. I don't know who I feel worse for, the one fading completely from existence or the one slowly forgetting one of only two friends he's ever known, after being the one to strike her down. Oblivion is a sad and scary thing to me.

 

I cried when Zack Fair died :'(

the saddest for me was in crisis core when zack died I practically cried the way cloud did
