Alright, I don't see why we can't talk about it. Obviously we can't ask for it but I thought I'd bring it up because it's so ridiculous.

No, rep is seen as being a personal thing. People can derep you if they wish.
I get derep like but it's not really worth complining about.

It's not usually seen as pity or at least shouldn't.
