Digital Art What program do you use?

I used to use Gimp, and that was a great alternative to Photoshop. It doesn't really have all the effects Photoshop has, and it does have a reputation of being very n00bish, but you can really make some nice things in there. The vine brush is amazing -- I want it for Photoshop. xD

But now I've moved to Photoshop CS2. Gimp served me well, but smudging in Photoshop can have so much more variation than Gimp, and Photoshop has a bigger user base. Gimp doesn't have many color features either, and coloring is my passion. :3 not to mention that Gimp seems to be rather limited -- Photoshop has such a large array of effects.

I started with Paint Shop Pro, still use Paint Shop Pro. It's cheap to buy, and the customizable workspace makes it really easy to use for both beginners and experts.

For GIFs, I use Animation Shop 3, I got it free when I bought Paint Shop Pro 9. It's a really small and simple program that produces high quality results.

 

GIMP sucks. CS3 ftw.

 

Adobe Photoshop, my wonderful dad showed me how to use it ^_^

 

I'm stuck with GIMP because I don't have the money for CS. =/

GIMP is okay, but I'd rather have Photoshop.

I use Adobe Photoshop. You have to pay for it, but its worth it.
