What was the first game or person, or whatever, that inspired you to start playing video games? For me, I was about 6 or 7 when my dad brought home an N64. I played that all the time when I was younger. Then when I was around 9 I went to a garage sale with my dad and found Pokemon Red version for 5 bucks. I begged my dad to get it. He did, and I played that game day after day. I still have it and still play it occasinally.

I started when my dad came home with an N64.
I started playing Kirby 64, and quickly got addicted.

Our parents got us a PS2 for Christmas, along with a few games (Jak&Daxter, Harry Potter 2, Grand Turismo 3) and we just started playing. Now we're hooked @.@

I remember seeing my cousin's husband play a Grand Theft Auto game (can't remember which one) and I tried it. I was actually pretty good, so that same year my parents bought me a nintendo 64 and a mario game. Ahh, my first game system.

For me...It started a long time ago...I can't remember my age...

But my dad introduced me to PC Games...that was what I played at first...

And then I was introduced to my first and favorite videogame hero Sonic The Hedgehog!:D

And my very first console was the Nintendo Gamecube...

And my very first game for it was Sonic Adventure 2: Battle...

Ah Yes, Those were the good old days...

I had so much fun with that game...

I was first introduced to videogames when my parents bought a sega genesis(megadrive). Me and my 2 sisters always used to play Sonic on it, as well as toe jam and earl and aladdin(I loved that game). Ever since then I started to turn into a gamer, as we bought newer consoles and I was introduced to new franchises(like Final Fantasy).

My brother was already into video games as a child. I gladly got roped in. The first game I ever played I remember was Bomberman 2 for the NES. At like three I was able to blow through that game and decimate my brother at battle mode. It didn't really get me into gaming however, I still rarely played games until a combination of four games: Crash Bandicoot series, Spyro, LoZ: OoT, and later Jak 2. Crash was amazing for me at that age and I was hooked. After seeing Spyro on the back of the manual I had to get that. I played Spyro til I 100%'d it and then spammed Crash Team Racing foreber. We then got the N64 where my brother failed massively at Phantom Ganon so I started from scratch and played every aspect of that game. I not only felt I had something to prove with my bro failing at it and one of my friends using the gameshark to beat it, but I was just attached. It was my way of living an adventure at a young age. Sounds lame I know but yeah. I occasionally played other games like Mario 64, Paper Mario, Bomberman Hero, etc but it wasn't until Jak II (my first true PS2 game besides GTA3 and GT3) where I got hooked. I proceeded to play it religiously over and over til my need for gaming just increased to the addiction it is now. In fact, it was actually after Jak and Ratchet that I was told by a good IGN friend of mine to play KH which got me into the JRPG world along with SO3. Met another person at IGN who reccommended me the MGS series.... Yeah...

Wall of text? DAAAYMN RIGHT! This is actually a serious subject for me because gaming has led me into my career and formed my personality so bear with it gosh D: And if you're wondering where is Halo on that wall of text Halo did not come in til 2007 when I played Halo and Halo 2 for the first time the day before the Halo 3 midnight launch to lead up to it.

Dad bought me a ps1 for my fifth? maybe fifth birthday. The games were Rayman (fuck year) and some weird baseball games. He would pick up different games occasionally because i think he had gotten into games but he thought he was too old for them so he would just watch us play. When i saw the ps2 come out i saved and saved and saved up for it, took me 2 years. Finally got that. Very first game i bought for it was Kingdom Hearts. Played it over and over again, but i was like 8 and i thought ansem was scary so i always had my older sister beat him for me. Then a year or two a go my sister bought a 360 because all her friends played Halo and she didn't want to be left out. So now i'm an x-bro, i suppose. Never really understood the whole console wars thing. Doesn't anyone remember being a kid, where it was freakin awesome if your friend had a different system because that meant he had a whole different selection of games? I had a ps1 but i loved the dreamcast and the N64. Oh well.

about 10 years ago my dad got me lego racers for the computer for my birthday i was stuck with racing games then like formula 1 tonka raceway (lol) lego stunt rallye and lego racers 2. But then i like got my first rpg which was hype the time quest :'D and i got into other genres of video games. When i was 6 i played N64 for the first time Mario kart and Super mario 64 i then got my first gameboy pocket which i sold later to get a gameboy color i played mostly adventures jump n' run's. I think the first time i played ps1 was when i was 6 or seven it was spyro 1 or 2. He also had a ps2 shortly after and we played ratchet 1 and 2 spyro 3 and tekken 3 or something i don't quite remember :c i was probably 8 when i first played a pokemon game i was obsessed afterwards and i bought pokemon silver (i got red yellow crystal at some point aswell) i sticked to the handehelds and the pc though (i got a gba and even a ds later still have tons of games for them). It wasn't untill i got obsessed with Kingdom hearts in late 2006 that I really wanted to get a ps2 (my friend had a ps2 with kh2. we had like no clue what the hell was the plot but we loved it <.<) i got the ps2 only in summer 2007 when i had finally pursuaded my mother and that's just how it went.

Haha i basically made a stupid history out of this :v
Get me going with videogames and this happens <.<

I grew up on Mario and Sonic games for the NES, SNES and Genesis. The first system that I gave a ridiculous amount of time to, though, was the Gameboy (Pocket) with Pokemon, a series I still play to this day (I believe I got my copy of Pokemon Red in late 98 or early 99, so that's about 10 years of being a fan of the same series.) Since then, I've had the Gameboy Color, Playstation, PS2, Gameboy Advance, GBA SP, Gamecube, XBox, DS, Wii, PSP and XBox 360 with plans to eventually get a PS3.

For me, my first console was the commodor 64. The game I mainly played on that was the original mario game. I went out of gameing for a couple of years until the christmas when I got Kingdom Hearts.
