What kind of alcohol?

Yeah Im over the legal drinking age in less than 24 hours, anybody got any reccomendations on what I should drink?

Are you english or american?

If english, try some WKD blue or red. They're lovely if you like a sweet drink.
If you're not into sweet stuff, try Carling, Fosters, or Guiness lager.
Lambrella, Lambrusco, and Lambrini are nice cheap wines to get, then again, they are sweet.
Stay away from cheap cider. That crap kills your stomach. If you're gonna drink cider, have Bulmers Irish Apple cider, or Magners. They're good. Pear cider, in my opinion is a load of ****ing bull.
Vodka. Mix vodka with any soft drink. Try not to over-power the drink with the alcohol, so only add the vodka to about an 8th of the way up the glass. The more sugar in the soft drink - not the diet versions of the originals, may I add - such as pepsi, coke, lemonade, etcetc the sweeter.

Whiskey, Rum, Brandy, I'm not too good with.

Try Malibu cola, that **** is sweeeeeet.
Or try Bacardi Razz and mix it with Fanta, tastes delicious.
Try beer, you'll like it. c: I do, anyways.

No. Just no.

Stay away from alcopops altogether. They were brought into this world to enable kids to brag about having drunk alcohol but they taste worse than non-alcoholic soft drinks imo (coke > Wodka Red Bull any day) and are equally bad for your teeth and worse for your liver. Not recommendable.
It's alcopops that made the phenomenon of binge drinking skyrocket since you gulp them down like lemonade and they don't quench your thirst at all.

Wine is more refined, delicate, delicious and it mixes better with food. Buy a reasonably priced merlot and enjoy at home or in the presence of friends. Try not to have your first drinking experience in public; for all you know you could be extremely intolerant when it comes to alcohol.

Beer is alright. It has a lousy reputation but it's really something you should try for yourself. Order a pils (not a strong beer) to get an idea. Heineken, Bud and Carlsberg are popular but they're lacking in the taste department. Go for Stella instead. It is not too bitter and unlike the aforementioned, it actually tastes like beer.

Lay off whiskey, rum and brandy for now. Try one if you get the opportunity but it's too expensive to waste money on if you're not familiar with it.

Hard-cider, most of it tastes like soda xD

Try tasting wine, I'd recommend sweet white-wine or sparkling wine if you're not used to the taste. I don't really like it myself, but I'm trying to get used to it via the stuff I mentioned.

Lay off the hard stuff, it's very unlikely you'll enjoy them. I wouldn't try the soda-vodka mix, it's easy to drink waaayyy more than you can handle that way.
