Kingdom Hearts II What is your story on why Square-Enix should make KH2FM English?

Agreed. I enjoyed FF1 and 2 for the PSP also FF3 for the DS, though I do not have 4 yet. Remakes make a great addition to have especially for those as myself who aren't going to buy the older games that cost way too much. Although - games that generally aren't that old such as FF7 I believe shouldn't get a remake...at least not at this time; since they were considering it before.

oh and I was just being sarcastic about the whole modern gamers thing. xD lol I'm a modern gamer as well.

To be honest, the only reason I wanted KH2FM was Re:CoM, and North America got that. I have KH:FM and it's... not that much better, certainly not worth the price of a whole new game. And the way I figure it, we can already watch all of the extra content online, without having to beat ridiculously difficult bosses or complete the game to see them.

Normally I'd also say that releasing the games with a little extra content would not translate that well in sales, but considering just how ridiculously popular Kingdom Hearts is (I've been on a site filled with fans for so long I didn't realize, but in case anyone else has forgotten like me, the series is POPULAR), they'd probably sell at least decently. But I guess Square doesn't think whatever profit they'll get will be worth the localization effort.

To be frank, if they released a Final Mix here and now I wouldn't buy it. It's not worth the price of a whole new game. I have seen game expansions that utilize the save on the memory card to give you the extra content, and if they'd do something like that then maybe. But I am definitely not paying 40-60 bucks for a game I almost already have -- long story short, I think KH2FM is fine without being in English.

I do think it's unfair Re:CoM didn't make it to Europe, though even if I didn't enjoy it that much . But at this point I think it's too late for them to bring it there, I dunno.

    THIS.

Forget Final Mixes. I just want RE:COM.

I'll probably just end up pirating it in a few years, when I have a computer good enough to play it, or a cracked PS3.

To be honest , we allready know whats happened in kh we know the story line , Re:Com was a game i wanted but i live in the U.K , whats the point in wanting the same game with a few added features , i'd rather buy a game that i haven't played.

Agreed. A game we haven't played is better than a remake of a game we already have. However that remake is better than a few extras, which is essentially what Final Mix is.

Personally I prefer the original GBA version of Com, I mean it's great to hear voice acting, have diffuculty settings, and just more space in move around on the screen. But it's the exact same game pretty much; I've spent more hours into the handheld version than the remake, not because I've had the GBA game first...it was just a lot more fun and less complicated to play...especially with the card system battling; I feel that the controls were the best for the handheld, because you have basic L and R shoulder buttons, the console version has of course double L2 and R2, but honestly I believe that game didn't need a remake in the first place.

My answer is rather simple: I'd rather have new games than have Square spend their time making a translation of KH2FM, which really is just a few new bosses, some new Keyblades, and a couple of new cutscenes (not counting Re:CoM, as it did make it state side, but I do feel bad for you Europeans). We've waited long enough for a KH3, to have it delayed even further just to translate the game would drive me batty.

I don't think it would be a hit game here, just a fan game.
It's basically the same as KH2, just with more keyblades, cutscenes, and battles. Same story.
    That's m opinion, anyway.

I don't fully understand this mentality. Almost everyone has it, but it's like they want the KH series to end? (I know it's not ending soon and it'll continue, but I quite like this Xehanort saga)
I woulddn't mind at all if they brought the Final Mixes here and let all fans have the same knowledge. Better yet, stop making the final mixes and release the game with the extras as the actual game. I'd wait a bit longer for Kh3 if it came with more features than originally planned.

Hell, if they keep making more KH games, I don't care at all if they push KH3 back, as long as the new games are actually worth it.

i agree completely about final mix, it would have been nice to have all that extra content the first time instead of buying the game twice.

but as for ending the series, i don't care either way they can drag it out or end it now, i've already seen the secret ending of jap re:coded, xemnas is gone so there is no reason to follow the story further. he is the sole reason i play kingdom hearts nowadays, and with him gone and an important chunk of the game on a console i'm not going to buy, the 3ds. i'm probably just going to pass re:coded and ignore 3d completely and only buy kh3 if it shows the rest of xemmy's past. once the xehanort saga is done i'm done with the series. i don't care about the rest of the story.

I wouldn't say it would be fair, but I will say that it would make more sense because people who played KHII would like to play and "extended" version of the game. It would be like making a movie and having the "short" version in the US and having the "extended" version in Jap. It just kills the reason to make it. I do understand why they make it only in Jap though. But I mean it would also be cool to make it in English too for those who can't import their own.
