Kingdom Hearts II What is your story on why Square-Enix should make KH2FM English?

My reason is because when I'm was playing the KH2FM jap, I was trying to grab a crown, but it froze on me when I put it on. All japanese games do that to my playstation2. Why: My PS2 reacts to any non-english text (for some reason). It freezes. I need an english, or I'll never beat the game.

WHAT IS YOUR REASON?

 

While I DO want it to be ported in English to other countries, it's just not gonna happen. Japan got KH2 before everyone else. Then they added some stuff and then the rest of the world got it. Then they made Final Mix+ and it's Japan exclusive. I want it to come to America because it has so many new features and I don't have a PS2 anymore. Got rid of it when I got my PS3. Therefore, I'd either need to get another PS2 and swap magic, or get a Japanese PS2. Just not gonna happen, boy-o.

 

Days has some FM translated scenes such as the moment when Xemnas names Roxas. If they translated some FM scenes, why not translate more of them that bear information regarding the plot?

Well what i think is that birth by sleep and days are the make ups for not getting final mixes

 

Or they just wanted to make other KH games.

I also want KH2FM in English. I'm not sure if a Japanese game would work well with my PS2 (nor do I know how to get it) and it would be difficult to understand. But I don't think they'll be making it in English. :/

 

It's not going to happen, it's a little too late. Think of KH2 a final CD mix, and FM as an exculsive mixtape with exclusive tracks only available for a specific audience.

 

American fans would reply like this;

"NOMURA NEEDS TO SEND FINAL MIX + SO HE CAN STOP HATING ON AMERICA."

...That's something like what I saw on Kingdom Hearts Wikia xD Plus, you guys aren't getting the point. We KNOW it won't come, we want to hear a reason why it SHOULD if allowed. I personally say only so we get just as much bonus content as every other Kingdom Hearts Fan.

 

i belive they will only do it when the sales for a final game starts to fall.

but itd be nice if they continued the series i love it lotss

but i think they will probably do it like a complete set with all the other games in series.

 

The game would make money therefore more money for Square to make good games. :B

Yeah, we know FM won't be released by the rest of the world, so that means some miraculous person should just go and make a translation patch for KH2FM so we KH fans could all finally die in peace.

 

Well, not Kh2fm certainly Re:CoM. The Amreicans got it so it isn;t fai if we dont get it in Europe. Oh and I would totally buy it if it came with KH2FM. Just thik of all the mone Square would make if they did that! Lots and Lots of money!!!

 

I'd rather that they release new games than waste their time translating KH2FM or porting Re:CoM to Europe. Then again, maybe I'm just a selfish American. ._.

 

I can think of a few:

1.Square took all the trouble to localize RE:COM why not use the extra time to redo KH2FM it didn't take much all the translation was pretty much done.
2.Most of those extras scenes in the game were recorded for 358/2 Days so you don't need to get voice acting back.
3. Square should have released this to hold us over for BBS.
4. Many fans asked, petitoned, and nagged US customer service online for KH2FM+.
5. American and Europe's KH2 was half assed and censored. We deserve an uncut/director cut version too.

 

There's no real reason why they should spend money on making an english KH2FM.
The positive results about it will be less than the negative, even though you think it's the opposite that will happen.
Actually, the only thing they are going to gain form this is some satisfied fans. They are going to lose money, waste time and possibly -even though it might sound weird- lose fans too.

 

It wasn't fair that we got extras and Japan didn't with the original. But, it's also not fair that Japan got extra extras with FMKH1 and 2 and we didn't. We should all get the same thing in the games. No fan should miss out on anything. There really should be something done about that. I think Square is doing their fans and customers wrongly.

i don't have that problem at all with my ps2, anyway what gets me confused about the kh series and these final mixs. well ok they've got a whole other series of games called final fantasy.
as far as i can tell ff7 [example] is from what i know no different then the jap, i could be wrong but the only change i heard of is the super nova was shorter before it was ported. but with kh it seems they make the first game call it finished put it on a disc sold it in japan, and then went abort porting it and thought hmm let's add sephiroth as optional boss. so they translate it call it finished, put it on a disk ship it over seas and sell it, once the usa [i'm being lazy] sells it and it sells fairly good, they seem to step back and realize the two copies aren't equal, so out comes final mix which always has even more stuff then before and it's exclusive.

my two questions are as follows.
why didn't they just delay the project a few months in order to fully complete the project instead of making mulitiple kh games each being different and better then the last.
and doesn't making the game over and over and over waste money in a way and time.

basicly all they have to do is just wait and get all the ideas out and on the final copy translate that same exact copy put them both on disks sell them and both copies have the same stuff and everyone is happier. it honestly makes me wonder because they are basicly remaking the same game three times, and in the time they have done that they might have gotten a whole game done maybe two.

of course i've never worked in a game company let alone a huge gaming company like that, but what they are doing with kingdom hearts it just seems like a waste of time and they are going to dry out the series to fast.

 

This would be nice if they did, but most likely they won't release the same version of the the US/EUR game we got without the bonuses. T-T - But I feel that if did release them, then I'd believe they'd make even more profit, since they love squeezing out unnessasary remakes of classic games which were fine from the start....*sigh* unsatisfied "modern gamers" >.> but besides that I just import the games anyway since half of the game is already in english so...(wouldn't be too diffucult to understand. ^^)

 

remakes i'm fine with if the game is no longer easily attainable, i wasn't going to by a whole nes or snes whatever ff4 plays on just for ff4 to me remakes just lets us modern gamers enjoy the classics if they don't have a system for it. [and i'm never modding my psp] so the remake was the only way i got to enjoy ff4, to be honest i would'nt even have known about it any other way so i am grateful for remakes. on a kh note i have kh2 and kh2 fm+ at first i thought it was going to be just fine, but now i look at the two games and think why wasn't all the fm stuff in kh2 jap and us to begin with, and part of me feels the 50 or so bucks was wasted, and now i'm torn between the two games to the point where i can't decide which one to play and put them back and do something else which may be the reason i haven't picked up my kh2 games in years.
