What is your favorite kh opening?

Yes I agree! It probably should bother me more than it does, but I think it's a fantastic opening--that's sort of what I meant by the flow, they work in the new footage so well that it really feels like foreshadowing, as you said.

I would have to say the original Kingdom Hearts opening with the Kingdom Hearts II a second. Kingdom Hearts opening had a ton of symbolism and foreshadowing. It started showing the close friendship Sora, Riku and Kairi had for each other and showed hints of what was going to come not only in this game, but the games coming up afterwards. Like Sora falling from the sky towards the water which happens in Kingdom Hearts II. Actually, if you watch the trailer after the start screen the words said is shown on Kairi's letter to Sora in KHII.

Kingdom Hearts II despite having it's "moments", like the close-up to Kairi's chest. It really did wrap up the storyline nicely of what happened in Kingdom Hearts I and CoM. The music was okay, but I like Simple and Clean a lot better but that's my own tastes.

 

I LOVED the opening in KH1, mostly because the song was epic and it honestly really set the mood for me. the CGI for the Ps2 was epic and i think it could even pass for a ps3 CGI opening even today. the whole falling into the darkness thing was awesome, then when he lands on the platform and everything spreads out to start the tutorial. it was just so EPIC, it still to this day gets me excited to play the game and i get chills when i watch it. even tho ive beatin it like 13 times :P

 

The opening to KH2 is my favorite. The animation is beautiful, and I love how it recaps and blends all the scenes from the first game together. Though, I have to admit that DDD gave me many feels as well. :3

I've still didn't play it, but I watched the Opening and I was so touched, I really cried.
It sums up all the previous games and it was a just an amazing feeling watching it.

I love them all for totally different reasons. The original opening gives me shivers every time. The Kingdom Hearts 2 opening is so symbolic and flowy that it's a total gem to watch. Birth By Sleep conveys some beautiful camera techniques and contains some of my favorite CGI moments in the series. Dream Drop Distance combined it all into one big mesh of nostalgia/awesomeness.

I don't know if I could pick just one. Dream Drop Distance does stand out as sort of being the big tie-in movie that covers all of the games though, so I really enjoy that one, as well as the other openings.

Wonder if they can top them all with the KH3 opening? :D

 

I love the BBS Opening, even though the KH2 one comes in close second, I just love it for how it looks and stuff... XD Not really anymore to it, I just love it and dont know why.

I'm favorite is 2. I like how it sums up the games. I also like Kh1s dreamy-mess to it. BBS was great. Reminded me of KH1. DDD was good too but the CGI looked very plastic-y. IDK. Kairi didn't even look like herself. Also Roxas had a big head. XD

 

Mine is definitely KHII, because it was the first one I ever saw. I remember watching it round my friends house when I wasn't in to KH and I instantly fell in love.

 

I'd have to say, KH2, BBS, and DDD the most. And out of those, first DDD, then BBS, and then KH2.

KH2: It summed up the series so far really nice, including a lot of CoM stuff. Marluxia in CGI was pretty fantastic.

BBS: Incredible opening. Not only was the CGI fantastic, but it was such an emotional opening as well. I really started to dislike Xehanort, and I felt so sorry for Ventus when seeing his face, frozen in fear...

DDD: Like KH2, it summed everything up very good, but what jumped out was the 358/2 Days part and the part with Xemnas, as we'd never seen those in CGI yet. I loved the emotional scene where Xion was pointing her Keyblade at Roxas' neck, Roxas watching in confusion.

 

im going to say 358/2 days, for the simple fact that it looked awesome, seeing the the members together while Roxas is introduced to the orginization made me scream like a fan-girl(kidding) but it was really cool

 

KH3D. it just look cool to me plus it shows everything that happen on

I liked KH2 the best but dream drop distance is a close second.

 

DDD for me since it proves that all (or rather most) of the KH games that I have played so far actually count for something in within this opening. Plus, it is one of the games which I don't currently have...

 

KH 2, Sanctuary is fabulous!
I would say DDD, as it is a way better version of simple and clean and the scenes are awesome, but Sanctuary wins for nostalgia and originality.
