I've been the slightest bit depressed lately. But I've also been having a pain in my back, I've lost my appetite (I usually eat like a pig), I sometimes get really nauseous, and I've been losing a lot of weight. I went to the doctor and when doing a quick 'check-up' he didn't see much wrong with me. I'm thinking of seeking advanced help, but has anybody else ever had this, or does anybody know what is wrong with me?
Don't worry, there is nothing wrong with you. This happens to me a lot, I lose my appetite- usually over stress, so then I don't eat and I start feeling ill and weak. Alll you do is eat what you can, when you can. Anyway, you are completely normal, it's usually just a consequence of stress or depression. When I feel low I usually don't feel like eating at all because I lose the reason to eat. If you are feeling really depressed a lot of the time then go see your doctor about depression, you are showing symptoms of it but it may just be a mild case of it e.g. general low moods. I think most people if not everyone goes through this at some point. If it's just a mild case, talk to someone you trust about what you're going through, they may really be able to help.
This is only meant to be a joke!! Nausea, back pains, loss of appetite? Oh my gosh! Your pregnant! (I know your a guy. LOLOL) But dont worry. It happens to me frequently. It'll pass in a couple days. Ienzo pretty much said it all
It seems to get worse everyday though. It's been going on for about a month now. Thank you. I plan to go back to the doctor sometime today.
heh don't worry, It probably means something is bothering you, sometimes you mightn't be able to pin point it but if you think back to the simplest things i'm sure you'l understand what's causing it.
Like Ienzo said, it's probably nothing horribly wrong with you and it's probably emotional strain or a mild case of mood swings. While going through depression, I didn't like to eat much and I felt sick almost all of the time. Glad you're going back to the doctor to talk about it and hopefully get it cleared up. Don't let it scare you, you'll be alright. :glomp:
After my visit I'm going to a special place on Monday to get tested for kind of depression, and on Tuesday I'm getting tested for something my doctor was concerned about having to do with my back pains, and other symptoms. Thank you to all of you that posted above.
I hope everything turns out okay for you. I can't really give much support except for words, but I guess it's the thought that counts
I was going to suggest you get a second opinion from another doctor but it seems you're getting seen by a specialist. So you've pre-empted my thoughts. I'd say the back pains were nothing major but if your doctor is concerned it could be something serious. Possibly a pinched nerve or a problem with a disc in the spine. Both normally involve surgery. Best of luck and I hope everything comes out for the best.
Well everyone else has pretty much said everything I was going to say. The one thing I would suggest is seeing if you have any deficiencies in your body ex. Low Iron, etc. That could be another reason for your depression. If not then do everything everyone else said. Oh and the sun helps too. Good luck with everything!
Well they had moved my other testing also over to today. From what the people at the mental facility could see I had no mental illness, but the other results, well, they're going to look all of my diagrams and such over again but they all believe I have much worse than what I thought. Thank you to to all who posted and your support. A mod can (please) lock this now.
