lol She even admits that she's "terrified of it" because it's "overtly ambitious." But yeah, 1984 as a romance? Screw you, Hollywood. Kirsten, pls stick to indie films u good in those D:
No. No. NO WHY GET AWAY I DON'T WANT THIS GO AWAY PLEASE STOP. BIG BROTHER MAKE IT GO AWAY. I LOVE BIG BROTHER.
I could see it being presented as a decent romance. The idea of a man falling in love out of defiance to a world where love is strictly forbidden is a great premise for a romance movie even though that was really only a minor subplot in 1984. I'm not saying I like the idea, but it could work. And besides that, what do you expect? The government being okay with a movie speaking out against everything that they're going to do over the next fifty years?
1984 is only as romantic as the fact that they both get brainwashed it was only romantic for a little bit, then they forgot because they were caught
emaciated love interests mutually beneficial relationship blossoming under a totalitarian form of government wherein the citizens thereof do not have access to a large selection of mates I hope the reboot doesn't forget that Winston is pushing forty relationship of questionable healthiness only Hollywood could produce a love story of this
You should direct movies, I'd much rather watch this. Although I'd think it'd likelier be a soap opera.
Oh god guys did you actually read 1984, there was no love, it was just pure ****ing. This would be like adapting a pornography into a Disney movie. I'm clearly exaggerating here...
God, is this going to be like that fanfic where Goku travels back in time to become romantically involved with Anne Frank and then has a super saiyan battle with Adolf Hitler? Cause that's totally the vibe I am getting from reading the article. Umm, yes? Considering the book still exist and is readily available.
