What is the worst injury you've had or known about?

What is the worst injury you've had or heard about, or seen.
I, for one, have never broken a bone before, but i twisted my wrist by playing the piano wrong which is kind of embarrasing. But when i was 11, one of my best friends broke his arm while playing on those monkey bar thingos. I later found out that it was the SIXTH (yes 6th) time he had, had a broken arm! I can't remember how many times each arm, but in the total times he had broken his arms the total was SIX!! It made me wonder what crazy things he'd done in hils life...

 

Well, I'm glad to announce that I have yet to suffer a terrifble injury. However, my father is a physical therapist and has seen a lot of weird stuff.

For one, one of the kids at school got hit in the head by a car. And...my dad treated a person who was runover by a tractor.

 

Wow, your dad must have a strong stomach...

 

I for one haven't had any terrible injuries, maybe a sprain or two but nothing serious.

But my grandpa told me when she was about 17 or 18 she and her cousin were roller skating (or something like that...) home back from school. Well, one of her cousins puches her so she would get home first, causing my grandmother to fall over. It caused my grandmother to break both of her arms. So, her friend had to help her with everything.

 

Well I have a Heart Murmur. :/ Not sure if that counts as an injury though.

I also Fractured my collarbone last december.

 

Yes, I'm pretty sure he does. That's one thing I didn't get through genes...

 

Hey I just remembered another one. One of my sisters friends at school broke her arm and apparently it looked dislocated because, even though you couldn't see the bone, you could tell it was broken because the bone was sort of sticking out from under the skin. And this girl was only about 10

 

when I was in second grade, I was playing tag with my two friends....
And I was running so fast that I couldnt see the blasted pole... I bashed into it, and split my mouth open... I needed five stitches to fix it... That was an interesting experience.

 

The worst injury I ever had was when I was 7 and I went to playhide-and-seek with some friends. I went to hide in the cabana in the back yard, but I forgot my brother rescently put all of the fire-wood on the ceiling, so I slammed the door and all the wood came tumbling down on me and I had a concussion and a couple of broken limbs. My left arm's never functioned properly since then. I don't mean it's paralyzed or anything like that, it just can't lift much and it randomnly twitches a bit sometimes.

 

that happened to me once too exept i was walking and talking to my friend next to me and i turned my head and collided with a pole. It hurt my nose and i had to go to the nurses office.

 

Well, I dislocated and chipped a bone in my wrist at the same time once. It looked so weird. xD Like, my hand was just dangling there...

And considering some of the 'image hosting' sites I browse, I've seen a few medical horrors.. some of which I wish I had not seen. And I won't go into detail about..

 

Three words: stick in leg.

 

My mum had a peice of wire from a fence stick into her leg when she was 9 and she still has the scar

 

I never suffered from any serious injuries but my knee:

So many bruises!That is one reason why I don't like gym class!I am a klutz!

But the worst infection I have heard of:

The one where the green stuff grows on your ***.They have to amputate that part!When my teacher told me about it,I felt like vomitiing!

 

I have about 3 scars on each knee. I fell over my own feet in volleyball one and another scar was added. And as for that infection... i don't wanna know

 

The worst injury I got was a broken pinkie while playing KICKBALL.

And I got a left knee-cap bone contusion from falling on my driveway one wet morning...it hurt like hell...

 

I remember when i was about 8 and i was walking to school with my mum and it was raining. the driveway was covered in some glossy stuff and because it was wet i slipped and fell on my butt, and i got to spend the day home.

I just thought of one that happened to me, though it's not terrible.

I was kayaking with my dad in a river by my house when I got up to walk on some flat rocks that made up the shallow part of the river. Sadly, these rocks were pretty slippery...and I ended up falling twice, fracturing my tailbone. So, for the next couple months, I had to sit on a pillow. xD

 

I had a lombar puncture when i was like 3 or 4 which a diagnostic treatment to find out if I had meningitus (ugh why can I never spell). Turned out I didn't and because I was so young they couldn't put me under so I was awake while they stuck a needle in my spine >_>.

My brother has chipped a bone in his ankle slipping on grass and broken both wrists at the same time when he fell backwards. A walking diaster area.............

Oh I also got my finger trapped in a locked car door, that hurt ><. I have also had my fingers trapped in many doors and I staved the three middle fingers in my left hand playing volleyball with a basketball >_>
