What is the best type of rock?

I tend to listen to more Alternative and Progressive, but I do like Punk as well. I also like Classic Rock^^

 

I usually listen to Alternative and Hard Rock.

 

Alternative. It's the only kind of rock I really like because it's got some deep stuff and it's not always heavy on the guitar but instead focuses on vocals a bit more.

 

I would say Alternative for your ^ reason as well, though I listen to more than just Alternative.

 

I chose Alternative as my favorite. However, I enjoy each of the choices.

By the way, when I read the title of this thread, I thought it meant different types of rocks, like the kind you would find in nature and stuff like that.

Just thought I would tell you guys that. Lol. :D

 

Too many to choose. Don't really have a favourite.
As a matter of fact, even though I like 'em, many of the options in there aren't even rock (more like a completely different genre).

I like a lot of emo and hard rock... then again sometimes I'll listen to a lot of screamo or alternative. I can't fairly choose between them xD
And Indie, punk and even poprock.. sometimes I can't get enough of that x3

I don't know why metal is on there >.> To me metal and rock and different |: You could argue and say they are basically the same but people get miffed when I say RnB and Hip Hop are the same.. so...

 

I gave my vote to emo, but I like punk and pop rock too

 

My genre is Alternative and Pop/Punk, even some Alternative Metal.

Metal...hard rock...some alternative (mainly 3 Doors Down), most of the bands I listen to can be classified as more that one thing.
Symphonic metal kicks ass, too. 8D

 

I like Christian Rock- I love the message it seds out- Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch and August Burns Red are some of my favs.

 

Alternative, Scremo, Metal, Hard Rock, and emo.
