Hey I just wan't to know what Tales of the Abyss is? I know there is a game of it. I saw an opening of it but what is it? Is it an Anime Sereis? or a Game Sereis? If it is an anime sereis can you tell me where I can get direct downloads of episodes? Also is there anything before Tales of the Abyss? I just recently saw an opening and it looked cool!:D

It is a game for the ps2. It is part of Namco's Tales series.
You can get Tales of Symphonia - Gamecube, Tales of Phantasia - GBA, Tales of Eternia - PSP & a few others i think.

do you have to play any other of the tales sereis to understand the story? Or is it like Final Fantasy each game is a new story with a new cast and everything.

Is Tales of the Abyss the most popular in the sereis? I know its the latest one and probably the last because I heard the next one is for DS and it might not come out in North America. So do you have the game? Would you recommend this for people who like the battle style of Kingdom Hearts? (and the graphics of course!):D

I haven't had the chance to play it yet but perhaps someone else may have. You could always look up reviews of it from sites like gamespot, ign or gamefaq.

I have and played tales of the abyss. it really is an awesome game. it is anime and it really has a great storyline. each tales game has a different story and characters. The only tales games in the U.S. are tales of the abyss, tales of legendia, tales of symphonia, and Tales of The World: Radiant Mythology which comes out on 7/17/07 for PSP. I would recommend tales of legendia though. so far i have played all the tales games with the exception of tales of the world: radiant mythology. and i would have to say tales of legendia is the best one.

*Huge Tales of the Abyss fan here... and playing it as I type O_o*

Tales of the Abyss is not an anime. It's the latest Tales series that came out for the PS2. ToA right now is the most popular of the Tales series because of it's originality, character development (Go Luke!) and because it's changed the entire Tales saga with it's new battle system as you can see here

So if you have a chance, pick the game up. It's addicting... xD

Actually, Tales of the Abyss is pretty good. o.o I got it recently [bugged my friend to gimme a copy] and teh graphics are like Tales of Symphonia. ... Or, better put, *somewhat* as good as Kingdom Hearts. Thing is that cutscenes are anime-stylez, while KH cutscenes are... ... Squeenix-stylez. The battle system isn't Linear mode, thankfully, so it's pretty easy/fun for those who enjoyed the run-around-like-crazy battle system for KH. Yeah... It's pretty good.

Oh, and none of the stories are connected, unless you count the whole Symphonia being the "prequel" to Phantasia.

... Right now, I think there are like, around six~seven main titles of the Tales series (Abyss, Symphonia, Phantasia, Destiny (first and second), Eternia and Legendia - which sucks, really, IMO. Don't get that one.) Then there are like, little ones, Narikiri Dungeon, Radiant Mythol- ... I'm rambling. Very, very sorry.

Overall, the game's awesome. Voice Actors are very good, I must say. Yuri Lowenthal. -thumbs up-
