I've never played the games, but I've heard they're really good. I've tried to ask people what the game is about, but they won't ever answer me. So can someone tell me what the story-line is for Final Fantasy? I'll be forever greatful! :)

Well, it's very hard to explain yes, cuz each FF game is a new and completely irrelevant (sp?) story from the last. I've never played FF-IX, but I can tell u about X and some of 7. VII-Jenova came to destroy the earth's lifestreams, but failed. SOLDIERs inserted with her cells, were used to protect the world of Midgar from evil and later Cloud, and ex-SOLDIER is on a quest with others to destroy another evil... Sephiroth. That's sort of what it is. X-Tidus's home, Zanarkand is put into oblivion by a strange and ruthless creature named Sin. He is then sent to Spira, where he meets new friends who go out to try and bring the Calm and later, find out the true and final way of defeating Sin without him ever returning and no more need for Summoners to die. All the info I can provide. Try out the games. ;) P.S. I did play X-2, just don't think it's really of importance. I'll still post a summary of it if u'd like.
Does it start with Final Fantasty I? I know there are a gazillion of them out there, but which one should I start with?
Well, of course it did start with Final Fantasy. :p But I'd start out with maybe 7, 8, 9, or 10. They're all pretty great, but it's ur choice. ;)
That means alot to me. I actually have been spending most of my time in the "Help" Section. Sorry, off-topic moment there. :D Better get back on topic... somehow. FF ROX! That should cover the damages. :p
the only ff game i have is 7 its my brothers and HE WONT LET ME PLAY!! stupid little..... but i have seen him play it and it looks awsome so id say o with 7 its the most popular game in the series and was the begining for many ff fans
Each FF game is seperate so you don't need to play all the others before it (which has probably already been explained here) FFVII is the most popular series, and has been done to death now, but don't leave out the others, they are just as good. They all tend to follow a simliar sort of story, but in different situations etc etc, they always keep on similar battle systems, and items names etc, they just change the characters, worlds, everything. Each story is unique but yet similar in a way
Each Final Fantasy title is different except for FFX and FFX-2, those are the only sequels, but it doesn't matter which ones you play first cuz they are all different but if you want to know what a specific one is about just pm me and i will tell you anything you want ;)
FFX is the best place to start, tis the easiest of the lot. FFIX is another brilliant one to play. I dont like FF7 much now cause everyone went mental on it makeing such a big deal. FF8 is ok but slightly boreing. Ive played and completed em all. Even 3 which i had on my NES. I even done the ones on GBA and GC so if ya need any help or suggestions just ask k.
Start with X - VII is a little too complicated for some to jump in to, plus FF X is in at l;east the top 5 best FF games.
X was my first, very great game, because it has Rikku in it ..........<.< then x-2, then VIII and then VII, that's the best order. and don't forget to watch Advent children.
I've never played the games either but I know mostly about FF 7 and how popular it is. When I first saw the cover of FFX-2 I thought that has to be a really bad game(I was only 10 at the time)cause of what Rikku was wearing.(Sorry Rikku blame my mom.) I admit judged a little too fast but I didn't know the game series or anything and I was just getting into video games. So know that I've grown up a little and learned some more about FF I wanna play it. But I'm sort of in the same boat as Princess of Heart. Yay I'm not so lost any more!! :D PS: I'm practicly begging my friend's little brother to let me borrow Advent Kiddies!
Start w/ 7 (In my opinion)I did, That story is about an EX soldier named Cloud trying to find his light...Fighting the darkness Sephy(I call him) Work up to FF X And FFX-2 That is about a blitzball player named tidus from Zanerkand that is attacked by a monster named sin(Who turns out to be Jecht)And goes 100 years into the future.He becomes a guardian of a summoner named Yuna along with..lulu,auron,kimari,and wakka...He guards he until she defeats sin.Rikku is an al bed who goes to... X-2 is about Rikku and Yuna(now gunner)and Paine...Trying to find Tidus and fight evil... ~~Naminé~~ :D
Every Final Fantasy game has always got something new and exciting. You can expect to see some monsters that appeared in previous games or you may even recognize a character's name from other Final Fantasy games (for example; Cid) Overall, most of the stories are about an epic tale of good vs evil. Right over wrong. You also have your romance, drama, comedy, and basically alot of things. I'd advise that you save when you are offered to because sometimes this series can just drive you insane.
