Chain of Memories What is Castle Oblivion?

We know what happens to Sora when he climbs up Castle Oblivion, but what is the Organization's Purpose of Castle Oblivion. What do you think the room of awakening is?

 

Supposedly Ven is there. Or it could be anything really. All we know is Castle Oblivion is more important than TCTNW and it was there before the Orgy. So we can assume it's like another Hollow Bastion type of place. Someone steeped i the study of hearts may have lived there. I think maybe the top floors spacey world may have something to do with it. Maybe Marluxia got his big *** mech thing there. Hm. He didn't know so maybe the top floor is like another dimension. Sora did lock it after all. Hm? I don't know there's my opinion. However this is all baseless speculation and crackpot theories.

 

Not much is known about Castle Oblivion other then it is a base for Organization Thirteen, and that Marluxia was made the leader of it.

Or something like that. Hopefully we find out more about it in the next game.

 

Interesting, if Ven is there then why would Terra be the only one not in either of the Organization's wherabouts?

 

I said it was baseless speculation and crackpot theories. But "Terra" (Not a confirmed name I believe) was in the gathering place in a sleep like trance thing(Looked like it to me). I meant Ven's armor I kinda messed up. Anyways that's all I had to fix up. I don't really know it'll be explained in the thing we all call KHIII even though it's not really gonna be called that.

 

Maybe the room of awakening is supposed to materialize memories, the room of sleep probably reawakens your lost memories.

Yeah and unfortunately it looks like Noruma won't be answering this question because of "Kingdom Hearts III" taking place most likely in the past.

 

What do you mean? It doesn't look like it'll be in the past to me. I think that it'll follow another timeline but not necessarily only in the past. It could jump around for all we know. It could be all in the future even. Even if it is in the past it may be related. It was their before the Orgy got to it so it could show up even in the past.

 

It's the fictional setting of the video game Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. It's a big castle with lots of pointy parts on the outside and lots of rooms/floors on the inside. Sora and Riku have memory cards and use them to transform each floor into whatever world they choose to enter. Also, lots of people die there.

 

So I'm guessing this room of awakening isn't show in any KH yet?

I think like Hollow Bastion, Castle Oblivion was once on a densly populated world with scientists like Ansem the Wise. But rather than studying hearts and the Door to Darkness, they studied memories, hence the floors' abilities to recreate visions from a person's memory. But, as explained in Halloween Town's recreation, a person's true memories could drive a man crazy, and this eventually wiped out the population of the world, leaving an abandoned castle with a huge amount of knowledge (and perhaps the memory pods?) in the in-between realm ready for the taking when Xemnas created Organization XIII.

 

The 'Room of Awakening' mentioned by Xigbar and Zexion sounds pretty similar to the 'Station of Awakening' we are all familiar with from the beginning of the KHI and KHII games: The place with the stained glass windows where Sora and Roxas (possibly Riku as well?) made their choices about what attributes they thought were important and how they would develop as Keybladers in their future. It would make sense why in that conversation it's said that Xemnas is searching for it if that is a place where all Keybladers go at one point or another to make their choices. If we assume that Xemnas in KHII was once a Keyblade wielder, at this point is he putting himself to sleep in order to try and wake up there himself, perhaps?

 

I doubt it has much to do with the Deep Dive. Though it may be related to Roxas in some way. We may never know(Actually we'll know if the thing not called KH3 comes out where we can get it.)

I never got why anyone would think Riku would go to the Deep Dive or why Xemnas/Xehanort would've been a keyblade wielder. It's possible(maybe even probable for the second one(more on the wishful thinking side for the first)) but neither makes as much sense as I think people think it does.

But, back to my point. It doesn't look like it is the Deep Dive. The Room of Awakening wasn't so I figure they are parallel or like mirror images. I think mirrors will show up, just 'cause they're so damn interesting.
