...your parents handed you $7,000 and said, "Lemme know when you're ready to buy your car, I'll drive you to the dealer." ?

Seriously guys, I need some help. Should I buy a used compact car that haz relatively good gas mileage; or do I buy something bigger, pay more for gas, but also have enough room to later put in subs? Like, a couple twelves?

Compact car, dude. Gas prices are killer. Probably something that's 20-30 miles to the gallon, unless you usually go out with a big group of friends and if that's the case, get something big.

You hit the reason why I can't decide. Meh, I guess my friends can walk to and from school/to the mall/etc. I'm not exactly making a lot of money part-timing at Cinotti's...

Still, It would be fun to hav Slipknot/Dethklok/All That Remains/<insert other> playing so loud windows within a 500 foot radius implode, xD!

Question: How are gas prices at your location, what is the weather like in the winter, if it is snowy as crap, go for something that handles well in the snow.

I'd say buy something that isn't going to fall apart if you sneeze, but not something that is going to cost you more later on down the road.

And i wish my family gave me 7 grand.

Lawl, I live ten blocks from a beach in Florida. Won't be having to deal with snow, unfortunately. I hate the fact that I sweat if I walk the ten feet from my front door to my mailbox here. Can I has cold fronts from Canada plz?

Gas prices are like, around $3.70 a gallon here. Which is why I'm avoiding a Hummer, needless to say. Not like I could get one for 7g, though.

Get good mileage. You'll regret it if you don't. I can guarantee it.

Believe me, it'll end up being some used car with liek, 100,000 miles+. I don't really want that to happen, but I know it will. Since my parents are paying for it, their is no way in hell I'm going to ask for more money to get a better car. I'm not that much of a spoiled prick. =/
