Kingdom Hearts II What if...

What happens when Riku's already dead when Xemnas says, "Can you spare a heart?" Then he grasps Sora forcing you to play as Riku.

 

I think the whole cutscene would still take place and you still take control of Riku if he's dead or not....but I haven't had that happen to me.

 

Riku never dies when he's in your party during the Mans- i mean Xemnas battle

 

Yeah, but if he did Die and Man- I mean Xenmas drained him? You couldn't play as Riku unless he was immortal and you'd lose unless there was some reaction command.

 

Once he dies, that cutscene will play and generates Riku's hp i think

 

Riku can't die during the Xemnas fight. Hp is transferred, though, so if Riku is very low on health when that part happens, you'll have basically a "one-hit and you lose" scenario on your hands.

 

Hummm....thats intersting. Thats weird that he cant die though....

 

If Riku is already dead and has no HP when Xemnas does his lightning bolt grapple thing on Sora, then Riku will immediately have 1 HP. It cannot be reduced to 0.

 

But then he just has 1 HP. So that still doesnt put you in a good position. Is it possible to beat Xemnas before the grapple lightning bolt thing? My brother CLAIMS to have done it, but im not sure....

 

I'm pretty sure that's not possible. When Xemnas's hp reaches a certain level, its pretty much inevitable that he'll do whole lightning-bolt-grapple-thing...But if there was a way to do avoid it, I wouldn't, because I like controlling Riku.

i didn't know Riku's hp transferred to you, either. interesting...and controlling Riku would be more fun if you didn't have to dodge those wall things.

aren't there several boss fights like that? when their hp reaches a certain level, it triggers off some move or action?
