Kingdom Hearts II What if?

What if you could play kh2 from Riku's point of view? would that be just awesome?

 

Sort of, i guess. I mean, it'd be fun at points, but at other points it'd just be a case of "watch over Sora, go easy on him when fighting (land of dragons)". I mean, he doesn't even help with any of the org xiii fights aside from Xemnas.

It'd have a info bar popping up, saying something like "watch Sora defeat Saix!" or, "press the buttons in time to cheer Sora on so that he may defeat Luxord!" XD

We would see him protecting Roxas, fighting with Sora etc... Not too much things, but now that you mentioned, somethings cool would be Kingdom Hearts II & Kingdom Hearts Days "REVERSE" in the same game? And see some things that make sense, but didn't expected.

 

The possibility is interesting and I always wondered what it might be like to play the game through Riku's point of view.

Having to find Roxas in the data Twilight Town would be one of those dull, obligatory missions like finding the "Organization Imposter" in Days, but seeing how Riku would be pulled out of the data world every time would be interesting. Fighting Roxas from his point of view would also make for an interesting switch.

 

I've always been wanting to do that. It would be an entirely new game, and frankly, I like Riku's character more than Sora

 

it's an interesting concept, but they have to do it right. I mean, for the most part you'd only be watching Sora, or whatever else he did when we didn't see him. If they could let you do stuff from Days and KHII though, I think that could end somewhat well. I guess I'm more afraid that if they made it they wouldn't do it right, so it would be a waste of a game

 

I think they would do it right though, they would be adding more information that was missing. And would make it more fun then playing Roxas (personally).

I think it'd be cool if they did that. Cause I loved playing Riku in RE:Com. He's just as badass as Sora.

 

Well, yes, but it would be neat. There's a pinch of un-explained stuff for Riku in KHII. And besides, Nomura did say he wanted to cover Riku's absence, and King Mickey in KHI. I like the idea, though. Reverse Days would just deal with Xion more, her having (pardon me for saying it), Sora and Kairi-themed meltdowns every 2.3 seconds. But still, I like the idea.

 

That would of been Awesome. Its always fun to be Riku wether its just for a short time or alot. It would of given the game more for us to do and let us know what was he doing.

 

Actually, I really like this idea, and ever since I'd played Reverse/Rebirth in Chain of Memories, I'd hoped that Kingdom Hearts II would be remade to tell from Riku's point of view.

There's actually a lot that could be done, besides watching over Sora, because we know that's not all that Riku did in his time away in that game, and how do you know he didn't fight any of the organization members? Maybe he did.

It's an interesting thought.

Also, I figured I would add; I can definitely see Square making a new game where you play as Riku throughout the game. The reason is that it seems that there is more focus on other characters than Sora than what it was initially. I remember KHI, it was all revolving around Sora. Now, however, there are many new characters with many new "fans." So yeah, I can definitely see it happen.

 

Well if we could, it has to have KHI in it from hsi perspective like, what did he do while Sora went searching for him and Kairi and in II how eh met DiZ and Namine again while having some missions like "Beat these Heartless before they reach Sora!" or something like that.

 

Personally, I think I'd prefer playing the entire time from KHI to, and including KHII, so that we could get more immersed in his story.
