Honestly if someone says they are that bothered by what you say, just back off. There's no reason for saying it's not a big deal if someone says they're offended by it unless you're actively seeking to make them feel like crap. Seems like it's not the first time this has happened either.
The section is meant to be lighthearted, but there is a line between joking and harassment. At the same time, if anyone is having problems with other members, it's best not to post in whatever thread and just to contact staff directly.

I will leave this open for now but should it continue it'll be locked.

 

This. I love poking fun of people and such, but if they tell you to back off then you should. In the old thread Nova said he didn't like it, it ended up getting locked after a lot of discussion, why would you make another thread like it? It goes against common sense. It doesn't make you clever or cool to pick on people like that.
