358/2 Days What happened to Xion (ENDING SPOILER)

It's possible it could be glass, considering that Xion's appearance changes depending on who looks at her (iirc), the "mirror" aspect of her character and the differeing appearances could mean glass and thereofre this makes more sense.

 

Well, never thought it could be glass. That might make sense but it doesn't really look like glass when she starts to fade, though at the end it could be the case.

 

When you put it in that light, I suppose that it makes sense that it could be glass, but all in all it looks too thick, still more like crystal. Still, it could be glass and that would make sense.

I've been looking at all the Nobody's dissolves and they all look different in the case of the Nobody disappearing. Namine's going in golden light, Roxas is going in streams of white light and then blue light in KHII, as is Axel, and Xion's going in glass/crystal/ice.

Why didn't Axel, Roxas, and Xion just fade like the other members of Organization XIII? Is it because they weren't defeated? But Xion was... So how come her disperse is different from all the other Nobodies who faded?

 

I may not know what it was exactly, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't glass. I guess we might never know exactly, unless we were to ask the developers themselves.
And on a side note, interesting new avatar Cat<3 Sora

 

They were special, in a way. They tried to be human by having friends so maybe they weren't so miserable when they faded. They were the three Nobodies, at least that I can see, who faded WILLINGLY. They accepted their deaths and faded with smiles on their faces.

That's probably the case, but Nomura might've just said, make the scene cool but dramatic, and we got what it is now.

I believe Xion is Kairi of Sora's Memories, her original self is Sora, but Sora's Memories from Kairi. So she isn't a "natural nobody", she don't even birth like one.
So when she disappers, she fade away... back to Roxas. And after, back to Sora.

And something that when i saw i tell to myself: "O_O it... i mean... well....... REALLY?! That's AWESOME!"
In Birth by Sleep, Blank Point; Roxas and Axel were in the clock tower... with Xion having some ice cream.

 

If it is ice crystal then you can predict because of Vexen may of wanted a part of something that symbolizes him. He made her after all. Axel didn't fade into any sort of light. He was in the between world and it looks like that. That was black smoke and it was fading with Axel.

 

it as crystal and she was being absorbed into roxas so that once he returned to sora, she would as well. and once she did, roxas gained the access to dual wield.

 

I generally thought of Xion as Sora's memories of Kairi. I suppose after Xion's death, Roxas's grief allowed him to wield Ven's keyblade....this is confusing.

 

Well, I always thought he wielded Ven's key from the beginning. I think the grief and the fact that Xion faded into him/Sora meant that he used her key to dual wield.

 

I always just figured she faded into ice because that's kinda what happened to Ven, and I figured that Nomura was trying to make a parralel of Xion and Ventus to a degree. They both wanted their friends to destroy them so that the bad guy couldn't get at their heart, and they kinda share a heart anyway, or so I thought. idk, I never really thought about it. I just thought it looked kinda cool.

Roxas and Ventus [might] share a heart, Xion's just a puppet.
I can see where you'd draw that parallel to the way they both faded but Ventus faded into light. Xion just faded away to go back into Sora/Roxas.

To be honest, that comparison to the way they both wanted to die is clever. They may have more in common than we thought.

Yes, but Xion had been stealing memories from Sora through Roxas. If Roxas and Ven share a heart, and Xion was stealing from Roxas, what's to stop her from getting Ven's heart? And as for how they faded away, lol, when I beat Days, I hadn't known much anything about BBS except the secret ending of KHII.
So you can see where I might have been confused. XD

 

Like you said, Xion was only taking memories. I don't think it's possible to steal a heart without using a Keyblade to unlock it.

 

Yeah, you're probably right. And who am I to argue, lol, I've never played BBS, so I'm not actually one-hundred percent sure how it ended anyway.

 

I believe that she simply faded away into Roxas. He took her memories, and such.
Later, when Roxas merged back with Sora, Roxas gave the memories he and Xion held back to him.

 

If we don't worry about details, that's basically what happened.

If it's true that Dream Drop Distance will explore a sleeping world, it might include "subconscious" entities such as Roxas and Xion. If it's not possible to "bring them back," we would at least know that they're living on somewhere.

 

Well, some of the Deaths in KH are sorta dramatic. (Axel, Marluxia, etc.). So it doesn't really surprise me that Xion (kinda) turned to ice and vanished. But, I AM surprised that she's the only one that... you know.
