Kingdom Hearts II What exactly happened to Ansem the Wise?

Are we sure that he died? He said himself that the did not know what the outcome would be.

Was he transported to another world? Did he become a Heartless/Nobody?

What exactly happened? If he's still alive, he'll definately be in Kingdom Hearts III.

 

Ok here's how it goes: Ansem the Wise dies goes to heaven and eats all the sea salt ice-cream he can ever eat =\ So I don't think he is gonna be in KH III =\

Anyways, interesting thread Mirai! Personally, I have no idea what happened Ansem the Wise. As far as I know, he was blown up with the machine. However, perhaps something will happen in Final Mix that explains what happened to him fully. O.o
But I really don't know.

 

His heart went back to Kingdom Hearts, obviously. That means he probably died. Let's see you get engulfed in light and NOT get vaporized.

Really, there is no DIRECT evidence that says that he's dead. I'm not sure if he's dead. Might be, might not be. How do we know his heart went to Kingdom Hearts?

 

All hearts are made in Kingdom Hearts, they ultimately must return to Kingdom Hearts.

 

Ofcourse. However, are we sure that his heart returned to Kingdom Hearts at that time? His heart may live on in another world or something. Or, I could be wrong.

 

He's probably in hanging out in the Sahara desert with Tupac and Osama Bin Laden.

I beleive that the blast killed him. I also beleive his heart went to kingdom hearts. I also beleive a nobody will have bee formed. Howver what would his soul turn into?

 

Actually it would to a lot of people if they knew what Tupac and Osama Bin Laden had in common; maybe not you in particular. I spun off a controversial joke, but evidently you aren't up to speed on that particular media flare.

Anyway, Square wouldn't waste time on elaborating on tragedies such as death; they probably left it up to the imagination of the player.
